From their t&c:
Subject to certain exceptions, Season Ticket Holders are automatically allocated and required to buy tickets for home cup matches.
- All Ticket Holders are entitled to opt not to purchase tickets for: (i) the EFL Cup; (ii) the UEFA Europa League (if applicable).

And when you pay that much you will show up. They claim a season ticket waiting list of 100,000. Sounds very unlikely given they have had a season ticket price freeze for 9 years on the trot. If the Glazers could make more money they would.
It's a disgrace that they're charging away fans that though, really bad taste considering away tickets in the league are capped at £30.
