There are only maybe 4000 blues who are going to Wembley, Spurs and Palace which leaves 29000 blues, myself included, who only have one trip to Wembley to pay for so I don't think the price of a trip to Wembley is the reason why we didn't sell out.
The club have spent a decade alienating our core fanbase and trying to attract middle class families with high disposable income with no real emotional connection to City many of whom obviously couldn't be arsed cancelling little Tarquin's piano lessons so they could go to Wembley
You reap what you sow
Our support needs to realise that singing:
Blue Moon
The Best Team In The Land
We Love You City
We’re Not Really Here
Ci-ty Ci-ty
Come On City
etc.
Is what everyone will join in with.
Not trying to get Bernardo going eighteen times in ten minutes and Empty Seats At Home fifteen times a half.
You only have to look around you at home games to realise it's not nonsenseNonsense
I dunno.... Brighton fans didn't have any problems starting that beautifully crafted, witty chant of Albion...Albion.. AlbionIf only we could sing as loud in the stadium as the concourse. Although have to admit Wembley is a shit ground to get any songs going except for chants like blue moon!

We’re a bit clueless when it comes to what songs to sing and when.
Yesterday, Gabriel Jesus scored from a de Bruyne cross and three parts of Level 1 tried to get the Bernardo song going within ten seconds of each other and none of them took off. Bernardo isn’t the song to sing at that moment and it’s no surprise that people don’t join in, especially as we’d already sung it three times in the first three minutes and about ten times in the concourse before the game n’all.
Sing the core songs and everyone will join in.
And stop being so obsessive with singing new chants over everything else.
There's a balance to be struck between attracting and retaining new fans and reconnecting with old school blues who don't go anymore. A City matchday now is just a paint by numbers experience with any real atmosphere sanitized out, there's nothing to differentiate it from Arsenal or Chelsea or dare I say it the rags. If we have a couple of average seasons what's to stop the new tourists decamping elsewhere. We still have a working class dominated support. Some have made a few quid along the way but there hasn’t been a big shift in our fanbase.
I hope we start making these so called “tourists” more welcome so that the Club continues to grow when we, for example, extend the North Stand.
