You cant have Thursday league games on a Wednesday. It wouldnt be proper.

BBC had first Dibs the previous 2 rounds and chose us and not the Rags. This round though the Rags game is a better prospect?

The two broadcasters have first pick in alternate rounds of the cup. ITV had first pick in the QF and chose rags v Fulham.
ITV will virtually always pick the rags or dippers given the chance simply because the potential viewing figures mean they can charge more per commercial. BBC tend to pick based more on what’s the best choice from a football point of view.

According to wiki this is the selection process:

ITV has first pick and fourth pick of matches in the Second Round, Fourth Round and the Quarter Finals, as well as second and third picks for the First, Third and Fifth Rounds and second pick of the Semi-finals.

if this is correct we will be on ITV as BBC will pick the rags.
