FA Cup SF | Liverpool | Sat 16 Apr 15:30 | Travel, Ticket & Pub Discussion

440 seats have been sold in the last 24 hours, if that continues, it wont be far from sold out, so long as people bite the bullet and take whats available.
Todays result might make a difference either way on sales?
this!! get these lower blocked filled out at least.
surely everyone who is going today will want to be there next Saturday. find it hard to belive there are over 15k without a ticket for next Saturday.

i know the trains being off are a pain but its still doable, we are going via chesterfield into st pancras.

Great post. Yep I was talking about this the other day - remember when we were everyone’s ‘second team’ to support because we were the loveable under achievers with loyal long-suffering fans?
Now we’re more hated than Leeds and Millwall combined!
I find among true match going footy fans their is still far more hatred for the rags and dippers. Mainly because as of yet towns with teams are not full of City plastics in replica shirts, where as plastic rags and dippers wind up footy fans nation wide.

Really the semi finals should be shared around at different games across the country though.
There’s a strong case for this game being played at old Trafford. But since semi’s stopped being played at neutral grounds, increasing traffic congestion means that many grounds couldn’t cope with 40,000+ fans travelling in from outside the city.
The community shield in 2012 at villa was a salutary lesson. Almost gridlock around the city and huge problems parking. And that game was played on a relatively quiet Sunday afternoon with thousands of empty seats in the Chelsea end. The problems would have been even worse if both sets of fans had been approaching Birmingham from the same direction

OT is full every week with many fans from well outside Manchester, sure they could cope at least as well as Wembley. On this occasion half the crowd coming from just down the road. Anyway ain't happening so no point worrying.

Swamp could have handled it with at least 50% of the crowd coming locally and the other 50% coming from pool but doesn't matter now it's done.

Just purchased two seats Block 502 row 2..... I trust they'll send these in the post tomorrow? Hopefully get here for Thursday. But.... what if they don't get here on time? Have an email confirmation.
