Us northern monkeys will be paying for the Wembley oversoend for years, we’re never gonna see. Vila Park ‘81 again, sadly!
Cheap travel lodge in Sheffield for the Saturday night.Again, it can't be done as the last train back from Sheffield to Piccadilly is at 10.24pm, which would mean getting out of London by 8pm
I did wonder if Eddie had played whether he would have taken man and ball and been sent off. Would have saved a few posts on this thread mind.Agreed.
And that goal yesterday wouldn't have happened with Eddie in goal, as he'd have dived at the feet of the striker and won the ball. Steffan was too hesitant.
Fixed for you.And that goal yesterday wouldn't have happened with Eddie in goal, as he'd have dived at the feet of the striker and wiped him out, probably conceding a penalty.
Said this through the match yesterday, Eddie brings goalkeeping and distribution, Southampton targetted Steffen knowing he couldnt play out, no way 3 press Eddie as it leaves a big gap behind them, also Steffen constantly played to Rodri with a man up his arse, thats not how that ball is played, thats your out ball when theyve pressed the centre halves. We all know Pep is a stubborn bastard but for he has to see this, get us to the final then let Steffen play.Steffan is nowhere near good enough with his feet to draw and combat the Liverpool press.
Same reason Southampton had so much success closing our centre backs down and have Rodri the wrong side of the ball.
He's a decent shot stopper but we need to reconcile how much confidence Ederson inspires us to play out.
He was probably thinking of his shoulder, but still he was favourite to win that ball so should've just kicked it out for a throw. The goal was deffo his fault and we can't afford errors like that against the dippers.Agreed.

Willy was 1st choice keeper by the time we played the 2017 semi, such was Bravo's collapse in form. And Muric was 3rd choice keeper who got the nod in a few cup games when Bravo was injured. For Pep in the semi. Muric either when he was "cup keeper" dropped for Wembley games in both cups.
100% Correct. But do you think pep would do it !Steffan is nowhere near good enough with his feet to draw and combat the Liverpool press.
