That's fantastic for you. Congratulations.

Not sure what your issue is. I understand everyones circumstances are different, but this way works for me and may do for others. I much prefer this than being hit with a huge one off payment in May/June which is holiday time etc and loads of other things to pay for. I make sacrifices on other stuff in my personal life to be able to afford it, just.

I don't have an issue. Just not sure what the point of your post was.

I certainly don't have a problem with anyone who has joined the scheme (as I have in the past and will in the future) or anyone that gets a ticket as a result of being in a scheme.

How people chose to pay for that is up to them. But totally irrelevent to an argument that some people can't practically join the scheme.

My post originallly quoted people saying re direct debits and getting a credit card. My way is a different way, a seperate bank account and i register that card against the cup schemes.

If you are going to go to the matches anyway in the cup, i cant see any reason why you wouldnt enrol. Its a card payment, and capped max prices. If you dont have funds it gets rejected and they try again a couple of days later giving you time to deposit the money.

If you've got no intention of going to the matches until the glamour games, then fine, but you take your chances.

Next couple of years it will be if not next season.

Good news for new supporters I guess.

Why will it be compulsory? We're now moaning about something that hasn't and may not even happen.

As more and more sign up, if you don't join the scheme you won't get a ticket. As it is this season if we made it into the Europa League and got to the final it would have already been the case.

And so it goes on, if enough join up (we're not far of this now) then even if you are in the cup scheme you might not get a ticket. 36K seasoncard holders and normally only 26K tickets for a final.

Then it will go down to points, it's already 'unfair' if you can't afford a seasoncard then you can't get a ticket, that is life unfortunately.

BeIng in control over your finances to stop 20 quid going out is so much of an issue then 200 quid all in for wembley probably is too.
And And irrespective of that - your finances are your business - it doesnt change the fact that everyone knew the score when we decided to either join or not join the cup scheme. If you chose not to join the scheme - for whatever reason - you chose to jeopardise not being able to go a final because of not being able to afford 20 quid every month. It's as simple as that.

So it's a choice between committing to something you can't feasibly commit to, or jeopardising your chances of seeing your club in a cup final. As reward for 10 years plus commitment to the club, including numerous cup games (including this season).

That makes it a pretty shit choice to me, and as such it's a bad policy that needs changing IMO.
Don't see how you can disagree with the cup scheme and not with season ticket holders getting first dibs on cup tickets. Is it because you've got a season ticket but not in in the cup scheme?

Not really because if you cant afford 20 quid a month then you wont be able to afford wembley either.

That's an overly simplistic and naive way of looking at things.

I have sympathy if people are unable to afford 20 quid but if that is out of your price range then it's just not the club's fault.

The club changed policy and that has disadvantaged some people. To me entitles anyone to disagree with that policy change.

However if they've had a season ticket for 10 years they'll have enough points to get one after the cup scheme window has finished.
There really is no problem.

There is really. We've been lucky this year with the opposition and the number of tickets that have been sold. More people will sign up to the scheme and the tickets for non scheme members will decrease and decrease. It won't be long and if you aren't on the scheme you won't have a chance at a ticket. And it doesn't matter if you've been going for 20 years, you'll get put in a queue behind a first year season ticket holder on the scheme.

To me that's wrong.

Re: FA CUP Ticket information

It's fucking sad watching people go back and forth on this thread. True , I don't have to read it but I'm hoping there may be some nuggets of wisdom somewhere !

Quite simply the club will never be able to please everyone all the time , I think by and large they are doing a good job. It's great to see the stadium full for all Cup home games with FFP looming over us.

I'm a season ticket holder not on the Cup scheme , I will be at Wembley because when I can't get a ticket through official channels I try to be resourceful and over many years I've found this works for me. I didn't sign up to the Cup scheme for family reasons , but I was fully aware it would impact my chances of getting any semi / final tickets. That's life !

I think that loyalty points should definitely count for cup tickets. I also think that there should be an advantage for joining the schemes. I think the current advantage is too much and results in a situation where a first year season ticket holder can take precedence over a 20 year season ticket holder for a ticket to a cup final.

What a bunch of joyless souls we have in this thread.

We're in the FA Cup Final - stop moaning and ENJOY

Or discuss the policy of the football club we support on a forum designed for discussion on the football club. Whats wrong with that?

But they are the people who took the gamble and attended the earlier rounds on the present years FA cup, ffs some of our fans need to get real and smell the coffee!

Fed up of the moaning about this shit now

The problem is that plenty of long term season ticket holders don't go to early round cup ties. Someone quoted on here they'd been told by the ticket office that 10k season ticket holders hadn't been to a cup tie this season.

Why should a long term season ticket holder who's not arsed about supporting the club in early round cup ties get priority over cup scheme members when we get to Wembley?
