I'd love to see this forum if we made the champions league final where cup scheme members out number the amount of tickets we'll get
Don't think you'd have to wait till then. The way everyone is going on every supporter will join it next season so that will probably happen for any cup final.

why

how much did it cost to join the cup scheme?

There is a potential cost committing to have an undetermined amount of money taken out of your account when you're not sure there will be money in the account when the club chooses to ask for it. Unauthorised overdrafts, returned payment charges etc. You can always opt out of the scheme if it gets to that, but then you're back at the end of the queue again.

The scheme unquestionably favours those with spare cash than those without.
his suggestion was that it costs to join the cup scheme, it doesn't

the extra cash, i get as I've said plenty of times mate, however you do get something in return......watching City win 3-0, 4-0, 5-0

The point I was getting at (and perhaps I shouldn't have quoted you as you weren't making this point) is that a lot of people seem to see membership of the cup scheme as some sort of "no brainer" easy choice for people to make.

I'm just saying that for many blues, it just isn't viable to join the scheme. If you don't have a lot of cash you can't take the risk whether the money will be in your account when it's taken out. It might be that when the game does come around you do have the spare cash and buy a ticket to the game anyway. It might be that you don't have the money and you don't go.

I just feel that these people are pretty much disregarded in the whole setup. And soon I'm pretty sure that if you don't join up to the scheme you won't get a ticket to any big cup game.

Suppose your right just picked the CL because you only get about 15,000 tickets

except the League Cup

Mind you if everyone does for the CL and FA Cup they'll then moan about the 'unfair' loyalty points system

I'm immune to it, all mods are enrolled in the Universe Cup scheme that gives us a bonus of 5000 points per season, same as Supporter's Club Chair persons

I understand where you are coming from, and we discussed it several times over the week
as i said then there are several blokes my age who i've known since Maine Road days and have never been to a cup tie till it gets to the later stages, i don't think they deserve a ticket for the final either over someone who's actually been to the cup games

put it on a credit card then the worry of it suddenly disappearing out of your account goes, and if things are tight you can always cancel the scheme before buying the ticket

Don't have a credit card. ;)

For me, it just wasn't possible this year when I had to make a decision. I've been a member of the scheme before, will be again next season. Just couldn't justify it this year as my work situation was very unclear, and when I don't have any work coming in I don't have any income at all.

At the moment after years of us being crap and the chances of us getting to any major final nigh on impossible, now that we are it is a novelty and everyone has to be there.

If hopefully our success continues and finals and trophies become commonplace, this may change.Of course our fanbase will probably change as well and expand.

I have kept my season ticket going for years even though the nature of my job means i miss a lot of games. This was because i like being where i am in the stadium and when i am home i don't want the hassle of scrambling for a ticket.I wish City had an easier way of selling my ticket for games i can't attend, this would be a huge help financially, but while i am earning i will keep it going.

Fair or not i have always said that any fan who kept their season ticket,or could prove they attended a lot of games when we were at our lowest point in our history, the second division[old third] should have been given a priority card for times such as this now we are succesful.I think we averaged 28k that season, although some games were higher and some sold out.

The loyalty card would be on condition you still attended games of course and would be non transferable and die with the owner. Those days, with no real hope on the horizon that we would ever be where we are today nailed people's colours and loyalty to the mast.A controversial point of view but i believe it would have been fair, though it was never done.

There are no re-payment charges. It comes of your debit card. If there are no funds in payment is declined just like if you went to the cash point and there was no money in

And you get charged a fee by your bank.
