Surely the player gets a say in where he would like to play? I imagine if he knows what City are willing to pay he will have second thoughts about joining Villa.

I reckon he wants to go villa over us, more playing time imo and thats a big factor. Maybe this is a sign of things to come young talent going elsewhere for fear of not getting in the team?
