Do you actually believe we'll win the "premiership" with the current squad
We should have won it last season.

The only rival that has strengthened so far is Arsenal with cech. I can't see Chelsea getting so lucky again with Terry and Hazard

The only player I worry about is Toure. The stupid comments have stopped but can he play at his old level again. Have to be worries about that.

Of course not, I don't believe we'll have Pogba, de bruyne and sterling in it though. I'd be very happy to be wrong though

Then why ask "Do you actually believe we'll win the "premiership" with the current squad", if you don't think we will be contesting the premiership with the current squad?

United with Schweinsteiger, Depay and probably Schneiderlin

If you don't back yourself and your talent on the big stage then you had better stay where you are. Which he has. It also means he was never right for us.

It also shows that Sterling does back himself and the media shitstorm hasn't fazed him. Which also given his talent does mean he is right for us. Chuck the saved cash his way and sign him up.

As a 'confirmed flapper' this will get a bit of stick: But the blind optimism of some on here is just as bad as the pessimism I'm sometimes guilty of.

Serious question to the optimistic, here:

The portent of this signing going to shit is foreboding and ominous. How are your alarm bells not ringing that the summer is going the way of 2012?
This summer is going to be a disaster you can see it just the way it's panning out. Most on here will still be clinging onto hope come 2nd September

This could make me look very stupid down the line but im expecting Falcao to get a decent amount of goals this season

And had Liverpool got top four, he may have seen a route into their starting XI.

Probably his agent who's done that, opportunity to make a few quid is not one to pass up.

It's puzzling, first Milner, now Delph. He would have got plenty of games with us, a top team plays at least 60 a season. I just think it shows him as mentally weak. time now to move on and sign players who have a winning mentality.

As I said to GDM it was a joke based on him signing for Villa over us when at Leeds.

He fucking is. Soriano seems great! Txiki seems like a clueless charlatan. Wish they didn't come as a package. . .
How is this down to Txiki? Delph must have thought he wasn't going to play, and was worried about his England place. He's got Sinclair and Micah in his team who had similar experiences

Missed out on cleverly too whilst we have been chasing Delph.

Could we not give someone like George Evans a chance to prove himself? Or am I thinking too far out of the box?

Another one for you @Didsbury Dave

This is what you get for doubting me when I said these people exist!

The top part is in jest.

You'll find me to be one of the most positive City fans around but I'm also realistic.

I'm genuinely concerned that we're struggling to get deals done and have done for 2-3 years.

I know you're a Txiki fan, but for me the evidence at the moment only suggests that he has not delivered on the transfer front.

As I've said, 'the trend is your friend' and it's become clear that we can't get deals over the line very well, even when we're the only club involved.

I don't have a grudge, I'm just reviewing the evidence. My stance will change when we deliver top signing, of which I will consider Sterling to be one. Either Pogba or De Bruyne will certainly change my perception as well.

Not got anything against Delph for choosing what he thinks is in his best interests. Playing in the Euros is going to be a big deal for him, and with the strength of City's squad he'd have a struggle playing regularly

As for the so called fans criticising Txiki, what more can he do than make the player an offer which he was obviously interested in. The reality that he would have a fight for his place is pretty evident to everyone, or should be.
If we sign Pogba, Sterling and KDB, then Delph will be quickly forgotten, but if these deals fall at the last hurdle as well then the spotlight will be firmly on him.
