He is being vastly under rated by most of this forum.

He was fucking outstanding in a woeful team last season and gained himself a few international caps into the bargain. He's a very decent player.

Possibly, but I think its more 2 like for like players per position.

I think Fernando will still get games, and he was latterly showing sign of getting to grips with the PL last season.

Have to say whenever he has played against us I have always thought he was a **** in the same way everyone did about dejong (not city fans) when we played them, but bottom line is we are about to sign him and he will do a job for us simple as that. I think Delph is an improvement on fernando but agree that if he turns out to be the highest profile player we sign (which he won't be) then I will be underwhelmed.

Talk of him being signed to be a creative force is ludicrous. He is more the type of player that's adds solidity to midfield which is something fernando was bought for but is no good at.

Still, we need a creative goalscoring midfielder. Sterling aptly fits the bill and all the talk of his poor season just gone is misleading as the only quality player he had with him was coutinho. Which makes me laugh when Henderson wins a poll to get on the cover of fifa 16

If Delph is our most high profile signing this summer then either Khaldoon has lied on his end of season interview, or Txiki has failed to deliver again. Anyway, of course we'll be getting bigger names in than Delph.

Everyone loves a big name or a player with a bit of flare. They can only do there stuff if we are controlling a game. Enter Delph. This signing gives us more balance in the squad. He will offer far more than most of you are giving him credit for. And hes a fucking workhorse.

Most pundits said last season, every team needs a Milner. While maybe not as versatile, he certainly has the same work ethic and desire.
