Jesus christ.

Is Aguero not a marguee name?

What about Mangala? The most high profile centre back available this summer? Barca had to settle for Verm and another 30 year old. United have had to sign Rojo. Chelsea haven't signed a replacement for Luiz. They all would have wanted Mangala but we got him.

If we sell Negredo this summer you can bet your bottom dollar that we will sign Reus or El Shaarawy next summer for mega cash.
Reus is on a free next Summer!
No, he's not. His buy-out clause becomes active - that's it.

It's pretty clear it is simply a money issue – even without the FFP sanctions I don't think we would have spent the silly money that the Rags obviously are to get the player. They're desperate – so desperate that they are willing to spunk €65mil on a 29yr old with a dodgy knee, when everyone knows it's a defensive midfielder and two centre halves they need.
Looks like the tatical turtle's master tactics this year will be to try and score one more than the opposition!

This, but It might work out for them.
And since Falcao will be 29 in February, he will still have 3 to 5 good seasons in him.

That depends on how his knee injury has healed – look at Van Pussy... his injuries have been less severe than Falcaos, yet it seems he's fucked – and he's only 30... Falcao's 29. Think the main reason Monaco want rid is because they know he stands a pretty good chance of his knee going again.

Definitely not.
Monaco wants to sell because their SugarDaddy has been done by FFp and Twatini, and also because his divorce has cost him HALF of his fortune ...
After the Falcao deal, he will have off-loaded all his markee signing and taken a valuable amount of money back .

Without him whilst still good enough to win the PL we do not have sufficient quality to beat Real and Bayern.

Nonsense. We beat Bayern in Bayern last season. Madrid lost 4 -2 last night as I've just posted. Shows a serious lack of belief in our players posting something like that. We have the quality in our squad to beat any team in the world.

From the outside looking in... We have been had by utd. They need a panic buy and a statement that they aren't getting left behind. We on the other hand, haven't made a 'big name' signing since aguero and let them pip us to the post? If negredo wants out, which he does, why aren't we signing a striker to replace him? Allowing Falcao to sign for utd and strengthen them is crazy when we are in need for him just as much as them if negredo goes. Knew we wouldn't win the battle. Anyone remember hazard not choosing us when we was in for him? Isco? And now Falcao... Something isn't right there, we are prem champions, in the champions league.. And yet can't compete in the transfer market with utd or Chelsea for that matter?

We'll pay for this!! Stinks of the year RVP chose them over us and won them the league..

I sort of have the same feeling, we win the title then rags go in and sign marquee strikers to steal it back. This time they will have two world class players in one window.

Both Munich and Madrid won Champions League with defensive liabilities in their squad but plenty of game changing goal scores on their side.

I'd be really impressed if this signing sees them winning the Champions League this year...

I can't say I'm that bothered about Falcao coming to us or not but more to the point this is a classic example of FFP working exactly how United, UEFA, Platini, Blatter and Gill intended it to. Back to the days where nobody could compete financially with the Rags. Falcao has been touted around every major club in Europe including City but when the money is worked out under FFP restrictions nobody can compete with that lot. Similar situation with Di Maria. The FFP slant to this annoys me more than anything else.

Falcao will join Manchester City unless Hernandez&Welbeck leave United

Hernandez was pictured at Real this morning so that's done & Welbeck being loaned out it seems. Plus he has "ITK" in his name so his tweets are null n void

I believe him, why would he lie?

Well yes, this is true

Whilst we are undoubtedly at the top table - we are seated at the little pull up extension bit - you know for unexpected, unwelcome or uninvited guests. FFP will eventually have us seated at our very own table, however this will still be below the top table but higher than the rest of the diners - that is what FFP was designed to do and that is what it is achieving. A kind of annexation of upstarts to the elite.

Hopefully this spunking of ludicrous panic money by Ushited will highlight this as the absurdity that it is.

As for Falcao - well would have been a good signing for us and a great signing for Arse - but for Manure it is merely papering over the cracks - an aged team with one or two has been question marks over their star players.
It also says a bit about the man.

Like some have already posted we don't NEED Falcao, as long as Negredo stays that is. Sure we all would have loved to have him though! We were clever enough to tie up our targets, targets which addressed our weaknesses, at the start of the window. However, if Negredo does leave then that, in my opinion, leaves us short up front given injury records and Manuels style of play. It's definitely a gamble going with 3 and I'm not sure the guys running our club are gambling men!

So too sum it up, we've lost out on a player that we weren't even in for.

I'm delighted with this window, we got our targets in early, we're strong in every position, could do with shifting a couple of the fringe players.

If we get rid of Negredo I would shake his hand and wish him all the best for the future, he was great for 6 months last year, but if his family isn't happy it would put a strain on him.

We can sign the young Nigerian forward it October, he looked a handful in pre season.

We have stuck within our FFP limits, and in the words of slippery Steve, in January We Go Again if we have too.
