You say they disrupted the silence because of british soldiers who ran riot in ireland ,i have no doubt there were disgracfull acts carried out by british soldiers in most conflicts ,this silence was not meant for anyone who disgraced themselves and there country but for the brave soldiers who gave there lives for what they believed was right and the soldiers who are still giving there lives for there beliefs ,the few who disrupted the silence should be ashamed but i doubt they will .
You acknowledge what soldiers did in Ireland which in turn means you would understand why they protested. right?

Fact is, soldiers who served in NI are included in this, wether or not it was "meant" for them or not, they are.

Why were our soldiers there in the first place Jim .

Bluejim, disrespect the government but dont disrespect the soldiers, its a completely different thing.
And thats what those celtic scumbags did today.

The Falkirk fans booed at the vile scum who sang republican songs during a minutes silence for the people who died for the freedom they abuse !!!!

It was us booing their scumbag fans. The reaction from the Falkirk end was angry and we certainly let their arseholes know what we thought of them. I actually fought with a Celtic fan on Friday when this subject was brought up. Their views are so uneducated and they all come across as arrogant c*nts.

They are like fecking sheep mate.

I can almost gaurentee that the vast majority of them have never even experienced the troubles in Ireland, yet they feel like they have to toe the party line and act like fecking wankers, despising all things British just because his mates say it makes him a better Celtic fan!

Wankers!

I have just read all this thread. I am a catholic my Dad (unfortunately not with us now, but served in the Army) and my older brother both big Celtic fans, and I normally try and get to a few Celtic matches most seasons.

This can not be justified, and a obviously City are my team been a season ticket holder since 1985, but I am ashamed this morning by the idiots who disrupted this minutes silence in the name of Celtic fans, and all celtic fans should feel the same way.

I can't understand why a City fan would have any feelings for another club, particularly the old firm who's mentality is to sing shite songs about religious bigotry.

Fuck Celtic and while we're at it fuck Rangers too, and these guys seriously want to play in our League? It would be like a fucking war every time the neanderthals travelled south each week.

From the Daily Record :

Only around half of Celtic fans had taken their seats in the build-up to kickoff as the other half chose not to join with other supporters, players and officials in a minute of collective remembrance inside the stadium. That, of course, is their democratic right, fought for by the generations they chose not to honour.

However, there can be no excuse for the couple of dozen rabble rousers who chose their time in the car park to belt out a Republican anthem as Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell was spotted on television shaking his head in disbelief.

It was a selfish and shameful gesture that desecrated the memory of those who made the greatest sacrifice of all, including those Celtic players, the official Parkhead website poignantly reminded us yesterday, who fell in the First World War"

You will notice on the first video on this post that whilst shaking hs head in disbelief, Mr Lawwell, also choose not to wear a poopy.
