Fans leaving early.

Us and Sunderland are the worst for it.

Thousands got up and left on Boxing Day against Liverpool around the 87minute mark, biggest game of the season, game in the balance, top of the league clash, thousands weren't bothered to see how it finished.

Plain weird!

I don't notice as many leave at a number of other grounds.

Must admit it is very annoying people leaving on 85 minutes

club sort the trams and the car park out or give me and my son a better option of waiting on a cold damp platform for 20/40 min then get crushed by a load of others on the tram, or sit in a car park for 20/40 min then I'll stop leaving early.. The worse it gets will force the hand of the club in my opinion so for me the more the merrier and the more embarrassed the club feel the sooner that will find a solution ...

And fk me after reading the rest of the thread, there are some right knuckle scrapers on this site

Totally agree with the OP. We like to think we are great fans but more and more over the past few years have taken to leaving early and it is embarrassing.

I love taking the mickey out of the rags for them leaving early against us but they can always throw it back at me when highlights on MotD show loads of empty seats five mins before end of our games. We are tonking sides yet their fans stay and support them to the end. Look at West Ham, one or two left but majority stayed even though they had a long trip back.

What kind of blurt takes the piss out of someone because some fans did what fans have done at every club In the country for decades? Seriously? Does this guy say "well you might be a brilliant team who are breaking records, stuffed us 4-1, have won 5 out of the last 6 derbies and are firm favourites for the league, but loads of people left with two minutes to go on Saturday, so it's all a bit hollow"

It's fucking kids stuff. Pathetic. And it's accompanying "I'm a massive blue and I never leave" harrumphing is even worse.
Anyone who gets "out-bantered" by fans of any other club with the team we've got at the moment, should give up the piss taking game because they're clearly utterly hopeless at it.

i leave 2-3 mins early every game and will continue too until they can sort the road traffic issues out around the ground.

the last time i chose to stay to the end, i was nearly lynched by city fans for apparently pulling out into the road in front of them
if you had "a pair",that wouldn't be an issue

Why what should he have done?

West Ham supporters stayed till the end recently after getting thrashed at ours. Yet they sang till the end, despite many of them not getting home until daft o clock. That is how we(collectively) used to be. Some have conveniently forgot that or were never there when we had a real reason to leave early. The attitude of some of our apathetic, couldn't give a fuck so called supporters is fucking embarrassing at times.

They are out there. Some kid came on here a few weeks ago asking for ammunition to use against a Liverpool fan.

A Liverpool fan. Seriously.

Am I the only one who doesn't really get involved in this 'banter' business in real life? I tend to just talk football with people. Every single person I've talked football with this year who isn't a city fan has more or less said "you're a brilliant team". Most say "I like city" too. I can't imagine someone going "you've got shit fans who leave early". I'd laugh in their fucking face.

Maybe it's my age I suppose. I find all this "worst support we've ever seen"/"shall we sing a song for you" stuff that the minnow clubs do on their big day out to be utterly childish and pathetic, too. Make me think of sweaty 18 year olds in ill fitting yellow replica shirts waving their arms around and deluding themself they are some kind of 'die hard'.
