I can see some off them leaving a concert early. it could take an hour to get to the proper motorway for some that moved south.
I went to see Black Sabbath at the phones4u arena just before Christmas.
Now think on this was the first tour of that particular line up since 1978 and tickets were like gold dust.
We got to what was obviously just before the encore and I saw people leaving.
When folk have paid brass for their ticket they can do what they want.
Personally speaking if I've paid to watch something whether it's City a concert or a film at the cinema I stay to the bitter end. Last year when I went to see Skyfall I waited until all the credits at the end of the film had finished before I left the cinema. I want my moneys worth!!
I'm the same, mate. I've only started following soccer since the 1990 World Cup when it became trendy among the Metropolitan elite.goat boy said:I've been seen at the game by my friends, which is the important thing as it maintains a level of social kudos. I don't actually like football. With that established, it doesn't matter how long i spend in the bar or what time I fuck off.
this thread is on every few months who gives a shit if people stay or go they have paid there moneybluemoon risin' said:This has probably been covered before but it has now got to a point where I think it's getting embarrassing. When the whistle blew yesterday, I looked around the stadium and I bet there was probably less than 30 000 still inside. I find it disrespectful to the players when applauding them off, they look into the stands and see that many can't be bothered to stay till the end. I can accept some leaving, but when it's near half empty, there is no excuse.
This is the best and most exciting football we have seen since the Mercer Alison era, so why thousands decide to leave with upto10 mins to go is beyond me. In the 9 goal thriller v Arsenal, 3 goals were scored in the last 5 minutes , yet many had already left the scene.
It never used to be like this, and I remember when we got thrashed 5-1(I think) at Maine road v Arsenal where most stayed till the end chanting "We're gonna win 5-4!." We have seen some awful football in the past where leaving early could be excused for. but I cannot understand why so many choose to leave early nowadays...
