Fans Not Staying To Applaud The Team

Felt a bit sorry for Haaland that so few people stayed to clap him off.

We have the best striker of this generation and he's bagging hat tricks for fun - yet only a few thousand left in the stand to applaud his performance.

He's influenced the rest of the squad too, and it's great that they come over to the fans at the end of matches.
tbf this is something new that previous players/teams havent done post-game at home (Unless they are saying goodbye to the fans! haha). I'm assuming this is something more he's used to in the German games but after last night i can imagine people arent going to want to leave as early, especially the younger supporters who's parents are hauling them out. Was great to see him doing a solo lap last night. The kid is a superstar.

I’m disappointed that “you’ve seen the champions now fuck off home” doesn’t get much of an airing these days
Definitely needs to be sung more prefer you’ve had your day out version…also
Why the fuck are you still here & time to go time to go, time to go….fuck off, my other favourites

Ultimately the main reason people leave early is because of how long it takes to get away from the ground.

So the fix is obvious, work needs to be done that makes it easier for 55k people to get away from the ground all at once.
Sadly that's not easy and would need work from the council too.

When he was taken off and applauded it was more or less a full stadium.

They've cheered him and sang his name constantly throughout the majority of the game. He hasnt exactly been ignored.

Superfans calling for a lap of honour cheered on by an absolutely bouncing jam packed stadium after routine home wins really need to get a grip on reality.

Every night out isn’t New Years Eve, sometimes you just pop down the local for a pint or two

10 out of ten haaland came over to the fans at the end of the game, wish rest of the players would take time to stroll over, it wouldnt take much effort and we would see & feel a far better bond between players and fans.

Plus more fans would stay behind if the was the case.

i was in SS lower, all the fans still in gave him a very warm welcome over, really was good. I hope pep noted this.
