Fantastic Season

I'm annoyed because we didn't turn up, it felt like Real Madrid under Pellegrini but thinking about a league and league Cup double, we shouldn't be negative about it

League and cup double is still a brilliant season but feel very deflated at the moment. I feel sorry for the owners and the players. Seeing Kev so distraught was a sad sight. He probably will never get to another final again.

I'm with you OP, didn't think we'd even get top 4 back in December but we ended up with the title, a cup and our first ever CL final.

Sure, I'm gutted we didn't win it, but what an achievement this season has been for City. The CL would have just been the cherry on top.

We're still the champions and MOTD will be showing the trophy with our colours on it week in, week out.

Objectively a great season

Won the league, won a cup and the only two significant games we lost all season were to the eventual European champions.

The knee jerk reaction mob will have their attention seeking hissy fits for days now but fuck em. Pep and every member of that squad and every coach have given us an absolute dream season.

Gentlemen we salute you
It was a fucking horrible season. One of my least favourite seasons in my life.

Sitting at home watching football played in front of empty stadiums, hearing players screaming and shouting for every foul, goal kick, corner, throw-in or anything else they want to yelp like stupid little dogs about, is fucking shit.

If that’s what it was like all the time I’d never tune in. Football isn’t as good a sport as I thought it was, the actual game on the strip of grass can be very very poor to watch and you realise that fans are 50% of what makes this sport good.

It was much preferable to see us win a Premier League and EFL Cup double than anyone else win those trophies, of course. But get me back in that stadium and let’s get back to normal, I’ve hated football this season.
