FAO of all whom want Mourinho

Rammy Blue- Serie A is a fucking SHIT league, and as my original post stated yes they win, but they are THE most boring side i have probably ever watched in my life (Not including the city team under Pearce of course !)

HGBlue- The biggest problem on here seems to be that Hughes approaches games negatively. Mourinho does EXACTLY the same FFS.

Let me just give you an insight into how Mourinho works:

He makes every player feel 10ft tall and gets inside players heads win, win, win and if that means running through brick walls then that's what's done.
He breeds confidence and gives everyone the belief that they can actually win through workrate and teamwork, something that lacked in the first half at Anfield yesterday!

We're lacking the belief that we can actually do something with the squad we've got maybe frightened, maybe nervous but that's where a good manager comes in!

I'm sorry but Hughes lacks motivation by his negativity and it's effecting our game.....

anyone who thinks chelsea played "fucking shit football" is a moron , it might not have been as entertaining as say arsenal but it wasnt shit or boring, look at the table when he was at chelsea they scored plenty of goals but they could grind it out as well, its called defending which is 50% of the game
They "grinded out" 75% of the games they played. Allardyce is also very successful with this at the teams he has been at, the only difference is he has a much poorer caliber of player to choose from.
quality mourinho is just like allardyce, they grinded out 75% of games, that means they would have won 20 odd games by a single goal, deary me

I think you'd find that, while not all will be convinced by MH whatever he does, the criticism will die down if he starts winning more games than over the last six or seven weeks, no matter what the style of football. If he left, I'd love to see Hiddink here, but, supposing Mourinho were to come, if he delivered winning football then that would, I suspect, be enough for most fans even if we didn't play the game in the most attractive or expansive way.

It's funny, you can slag off Manchester City's manager to high heaven and back. No problem. But lord forbid you should make even a mildly negative comment about The Special One...

I am sure I read a post of yours slagging hughes off the other day?

Not having a good day are you Billy mate? pmsl...

PMSL. I take it you have worked under him yourself ? Funny how his teams (bar Porto) have always bottled it in the CL. Next...

but at the moment it is shite football every week without a win.

Yes, and the OP's point, which you so eloquently dismissed as "horseshit", was simply that Mourinho's teams play boring, economical, efficient, football.

It's funny, you can slag off Manchester City's manager to high heaven and back. No problem. But lord forbid you should make even a mildly negative comment about The Special One...

who rattled your cage?

my comment of "horseshit" was based on his post which clearly stated that "Inter Milan were the most boring side he had watched in his life" and also that "Mourinho approaches games negatively"

both of which i am afraid Billy are utter horseshit.

simples.

You really do not know a jot about football unfortunately. He IS more negative than Hughes in the way he approaches games. His Inter side are probably the most BORING, DULL team i have ever watched in my life, OK they win but it is fucking terrible to watch. I would rather watch us attacking, and not win every game. Stick with Hughes till January and asses the situation then. If a new man does come in I would personally plump for Hiddink.

yeah right lol

I'd rather watch shit football and win than watch shit football and draw 6 games on the bounce, 5 of them coming against fucking shit teams.

Very difficult to criticize Mourinho though isn't it? He's in a results based business and I believe he's a similar age to Hughes. What's he won? What's Hughes won?

The OP was criticizing the style of play that Mourinho's teams employ. For which he seems to be taking an awful lot of stick. Which I find very strange when he is in fact right to an extent. There's a thread on here about how we were too cautious against Liverpool yesterday and we should've attacked etc...

Now I'd like you to cast your mind back to those gripping champions league encounters between Liverpool and Chelsea when Mourinho was in charge...

...or when Barcelona came to Stamford Bridge and Mourinho's Chelsea tried to kick them off the park...
