FAO of all whom want Mourinho

You've got to chuckle at supporters of a football club who haven't won a trophy for over thirty years, turning their noses up at a trophy winning manager because he 'doesn't play pretty football'.

It's like going into a garage with a VW Golf looking for a new car being offered a Ferrari and turning your nose up at it

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know he's won the Champions League on a shoestring with a relatively 'unfashionable' club but what are his tactics like? He likes to keep it tight? He likes to keep it fucking tight? Are you fucking joking me? Get to fuck! How dare he darken our door. Fucking joker. Carry on Mark, I'm not having this c*nt anywhere near our club." *walks off shaking head*

Mourinho and Attractive attacking football = Oxymoron
Check the crowd stats the game before he was sacked at Chelsea.
I want to win things and play like Arsenal play. me = dreamer

Seeing as Arsenal don't even win things playing like Arsenal I will aspire to winning things. There is no column in the Premiership table which shows the points awarded for 'entertainment value'.

Notwithstanding that, did you people slating Mourinho's style of play actually watch the first half yesterday? That was the most soul destroying 45 minutes of Manchester City football I've seen in some time. Who the fuck are these people who wouldn't renew if Mourinho came because he plays 'negative' football? He plays winning football and if City are winning I'm happy. Anyway, have we been brought up on fast, free flowing, trophy winning football? Well I haven't. I was born in 1976 and I've seen us win sweet fuck all, and I've seen us win fuck all on the whole playing shit football.

I don't want Hughes out (yet), but I also can't let some of these inane posts go unchallenged. Look at Hughes's CV, look at Mourinho's CV and have a quiet word with yourself. He is a talent, it is his job to win football games and he does it well. Don't disrespect the man.

Read my post it is not inane.
It is an opinion.
I admire Mourinho's ability to win trophies. He is a top manager.
I know I am asking alot that why I said "dreamer".
I will slate his style of play because as a football fan I don't like it.
We played a more cavalier way under Horton and Keegan and even though we didn't win anything I came away enjoying the game.
Yes I want to win something and if MH can't deliver then somebody else will have to do it.
When that time comes I hope the owners pick somebody who can deliver whilst also entertaining me. Too much to ask?
If they pick El Special One then I will, as always, put my total support behind him. Like I do MH.

To be fair mate, the 'inane' bit was not aimed at you. I appreciate your post was a thought out opinion. The more 'inane' posters are the ones who claim they won't renew their seasoncards if he was manager. My apologies.

In regard to the Horton era, that's a good point, but like it or not our money has changed everything. That era was an unexpected surprise, now we are expected to be successful. Success in those days was just above mid-table. Of course i'd love us to win things and play like Arsenal and it might just happen one day. For the moment though, I'll just settle for winning things.

m27 - No worries
Arsenal won things under Wenger in style prior to insisting that youth will do.
Barca have won things in style.
Thats my dream and that is the only reason I would PREFER somebody other than Mourinho.
But if he is the best available so be it.

You really do not know a jot about football unfortunately. He IS more negative than Hughes in the way he approaches games. His Inter side are probably the most BORING, DULL team i have ever watched in my life, OK they win but it is fucking terrible to watch. I would rather watch us attacking, and not win every game. Stick with Hughes till January and asses the situation then. If a new man does come in I would personally plump for Hiddink.

The sad thing is that you`re probably serious and mean it, I'm at a loss here and find it very hard to not pmsl. No I'm not trying to be rude and people should be allowed to have their own opinions, but idiocy like this should not be rewarded. Unbelievable, this forum never ceases to amaze me.

You gimp. Mourinho = winner. You want to talk negative lets discuss route one to one striker against Liverppols half fit reserves.

Maybe we are all being narrow minded in this respect. IF Hughes is to go, we can't really look beyond Mourinho and Hiddink at the moment but there are other options out there. If Arsenal have done it once with Wenger there's nothing to say we can't do the same with a relative unknown. The lesser the name the bigger the gamble though.

The thing is though mate, as someone who appreciates the finer side of the game, what on earth did you think of our first half display yesterday?
