Hear Hear Wheelsy always good to see the euro fans popping in to give some friendly advice, and we've had quite a few this season a credit to football!

Hope the Hamburg fans will be back on here - once their hangovers are gone - to tell us what they thought of the City, the ground and the fans. I hope they were treated with the same respect that we were shown over there. (hopefully the ejit on the bus mentioned last night was the only exception)
Back home in Hamburg now, head still full of alcohol. Thank you very much City for a great time, we all enjoyed it very much! Some minutes during the match I just couldn´t believe my ears how loud your support was - just like a hurricane.

Perhaps your next season in the Premiership becomes much better than this time and then I will look forward to meet you again in Champions League. Your hospitality was just great, you guys really kick ass, thanks!

Fair play mate.Hope u do well

MKBlue and I got a cab from Piccadilly with a couple of there fans and they were good lads but rather upset the Police had taken there beer.

They knew about this site as asked us are we from from The Bluemoon Forum !!

They honestly expected to go out last as there away form is also shocking - There season has mirrored ours in many ways as did most of there supporters we met.

Hope they go on to win it.

I may be wrong but i'm sure they said on tv last week that Hamburg had won all their away games in europe?maybe they were being polite?

Yes, wo won every european away match this season - until yesterday. Nevertheless we knew that is home is a totally different team than City away. So the result from the match in Manchester wasn´t that surprising. In the end we were just the lucky team.

Tops lads the whole lot of them. A credit to german football.

They have shared good advice for those who went away and hopefully feel they have recieved the same from us on here. Their attitude was brilliant through out, always up for a laugh and even joined in the banter on the bus on the way up to the ground.

Hope they got home safely, have a good end to the season domestically and of course go on to win the UEFA Cup.

I keep finding myself chuckling to the look of bemusement on their fans when we started chanting 'Uwe, Uwe Rosler' in response to their chant of the same tune though!!!

What the hell did that "These colours don't run" banner mean?!

Are you serious, THAT needs explaining, personally thought it was quite a clever banner, bearing in mind, it was in a foreign language

And considering I first saw that on a banner here in the 80's.

Glad this has been made a sticky as it will allow lots of people to express exactly the sentiments of all of us whom came into contact with Hamburg SV, home and away.
Great side
Great fans
Great stadium
Great city

Best of luck in the rest of the competition and lets hope we meet again soon.

What about the Thomas Cook Trophy ? Anyone think of better and more welcome opponents, they could bring and show us what a trophy looks like ;-)
