I like your missionary work amongst the unconverted-and the Hobgoblin tee shirt image.
I am lucky beyond belief that my local-though it is 4 miles away-carries only beers from micro breweries so my favourite does tend to change. It also has a policy of selling one session beer less than 4% abv, one best ale around 4.3-4.7%, one strong ale 5% up, and one dark ale-can be anything from a 3.2% mild to a 6% and up stout or porter. Also the house vegan ale plus farmhouse cider or perry.
Very favourite beers are Thornbridge Jaipur IPA, Abbeydale Black Mass-abv 6.66%!, Elland 1872 Porter-and most ales from Pictish in Rochdale, Phoenix in Heywood, Dark Star near Brighton-the list goes on. If you've never had proper beer you don't know what you're missing-as Benjamin Franklin said, 'Beer is the proof that God loves us.'
