Me neitherI don't think cars for the rich, in anyone's definition, would include the Škoda Yeti!
my brother sold cars at a Fiat dealer in Manchester, talked me into buying it, we had three trade-ins we juggled the numbers on - no one would touch it - "rust buckets" etc. It was second-hand, no passengers liked it and I got pulled for fun by motorway dibble. It got absolutely cannibalised when I left it in an overnight car park in Blackpool. Recaro seats, wheels and pioneer sound system hoisted. I couldn't afford to put it back together again - flogged carcass for nothing to an enthusiast who came from porridge-land to collect it - I was as gutted as the Delta :/Very nice! Not sure an Integrale counts as affordable/ achievable though(!)
I had a red HF Turbo and a regular old silver 1300 like the one in the pic I posted.
I've still got one 7 spoke injection wheel at the back of the shed, I did plan to make some sort of ornamental feature out of it. Did try making a garden clock with it but it looked a bit naffGreat car, had a 2.8i with the pepper pot wheels after my mk2 Capri GL. Would have loved a Kat or Tickford but way beyond my wallet.
That was exactly my thought, a mate had a Scimitar, when he told me they also made the RR I genuinely thought he was taking the piss.
Never quite worked out if the old story about the name Starion being the Japs trying to say Stallion was true?Crazy mate (although ime the Fiat Uno turbo was worse, but shout out for the Mitsubishi Starion turbo, that was fantastic), one of the old ‘Gooch’ lads in the 90’s had one, a black one, full body kit, looked like the Batmobile and really looked fantastic, not sure if he had anything else done to it, but it topped out way over the supposed limit they were down as (about 130ish I think).
