Easyish game and we have lfc at the weekend, and a good bench just in case. Copenhagen will think they have a chance but they under-estimate our mental strength. Lets hope they dont get an early goal though.

Good team. Rested the right players, would have like to see Rodri too but i think he's been managing his games pretty well and he missed Luton and we have no midweek after the dippers.

Good selection. They need to come forward, so drop a little deeper, be prepared to concede some possession, and then win it back and use Gvardiol, Kovacic, and Nunes to drive deep into them and release the front three.

Excited to (hopefully) see Bobb on the right and not shunted to the left. Presumably Nunes on the left again.

Perfect time to rest players whilst giving important minutes to those on the fringe.
Expect Rodri to be subbed early doors once we establish a 3 goal cushion.

We are only playing 4 first choice starters which for a last 16 tie is pretty amazing.

Having said that Bobb is as good as Doku/Grealish, maybe better. Alvarez is Argentina's no 9.

Nunes is not Bernardo but should contribute energy from a wide position. Kovacic is not Foden but will provide solidity to what looks a very attacking side.

Defensively we'll miss Ake the most. But Rico will help Rodri out in the centre.

All in all not a bad side.

Disagree. We need them rested up for the cultists. I'm a bit disappointed that Rodri is playing, to be honest.
Unfortunately, it was either play essentially a full strength team sans Rodri, or this one with Rodri.

He is that vital to our success, that Pep couldn’t rest Kev, Stones, Foden, Bernie, and Rodri.

It’s not like Pep to take risks with this comp but shows how important he views Sundays game which is good.
