Nothing to do with the vandalism but I see the Pretenders were at home this Saturday in the FA Trophy, they were playing Mossley. The attendance was a mere 861 (a local derby) I wonder where the other 5,000 loyal dedicated and committed fans were? ......oh hang on FC United of Trafford were also playing that day.

This club will not be around in 10 years time.

If that is the case (though I think that they will be around), then Moston will inherit the biggest white elephant in the city.

Re: FC United - vandalism on the proposed site? (page 32)

Why would they possibly be around in 10 years? The middle aged blokes who were as angry as hell a few years ago are already starting to lose interest. They are getting to the age where they would rather watch the new Nigela Lawson cooking show than spend a night following F.C to somewhere like Nelson.

The kids who have been dragged to the games by these same guys are getting older and would rather go to watch United once a year than have to put up with a season of very average fare on offer.

The crowds will fall away, if that is not already happening.

And last, but not least, United will continue to be one of the biggest clubs in the world and will get sold by Malcolm and everyone will forget it ever happened.

Like I said, gone inside 10 years.

For those following the FCUM ground application the latest news is :

The JR was sent to Mcc and Fc on monday via email. They have 21 days from the Paper docs to provide grounds to contest our claim. The JD was then personally lodged on monday at court in London. We have also asked for an injunction to be considered.

For the FCUM lurkers on here just to answer some of your comments :

Hopefully it will be quick. The references on Blue Goon shows clearly it purely a fight against "mini-rags" and not really a community related issue.

Rest assured if it was a new training ground for City being built they would be falling other themselves to welcome it into the community.

You see that is where you are wrong we would fight against ANYTHING that was planned to be built on the field i dont know how many times i need to say that.

Cant see us being in Moston for the new season now. Hopefully the NIMBY Bitters arent getting legal aid for this and it will end up costing them a fortune.

NIMBY Bitters do you know that the majority of the no people are actually united fans ? but lets not let the facts spoil a predictable bitter reference hey !! as for legal aid watch this space ..................

A post on there mentions a thread on here (old forum) about the guy turning up in a City shirt on the family day.

So if fcum's bid failed, would you still be against Moston Juniors spending there 750k wonga on this beautiful green belt of land you have?? i,m sure they could afford a few changing rooms, car park etc!! and maybe even a little covered terrace. Or would this injunction stop them from building aswell?

Its obvious you don't know the details of the funding and lease agreement that would allow moston juniors to spend the money, why do you think that moston juniors had never spent their money before?

I cant say i have looked at the lease agreement, so why not share it with us all.

I thought it was all one man one vote each member is an owner of the club ? Doesn't say a lot for the club when the vast majority of its members/owners need to go on a City fans forum to know the up to date situation, i suggest you ask your own board members who for some reason always seem reluctant to give out any news.

What a sad plank. He comes on this forum to attack Moston Juniors without knowing ANY of the facts he is attacking ! And where exactly is he living and commenting from ? Another sad rag pretending to care about a mini rag club.

Thats a tad rich, they spent £1,000's employing a Company & Solicitors that specialise in exterminating opposition to heinous "land theft scams" like this that have zero positive impact for the local Community but moan when the Community spends a few bob fighting back.
I hope you do get legal aid.
ps.have a big fuck off bucket collection at the ETIHAD.
