Re: Why couldn't Fergie

is this the start of the Gary Neville style "well he was actually all right and we love him really" appreciation society? He's a **** and why would he do anything to fit in with us? Anyhow i think it had to be announced as the club are obliged because they're on the stock exchange

Re: Slurgie **Confirmed Retired** (merged)

Here are some things likely to change from next season:

The rags will start conceding penalties, including at the swamp

the rags will start having players sent off

the media will become substantially more sceptical about the rags - not necessarily hostile (though I imagine some will want their last laugh) but less inclined to lap up the bullshit that emanates from the swamp

less time will be added on to the end of games when the rags are drawing or losing

there will be fewer embargoes of referees who oversee rag defeats

when the rags surround referees demanding players are booked or sent off, they may find they are booked themselves - likewise when certain rag players give officials gobfuls of abuse

lower and mid table sides will actually try and win games against the rags rather than simply roll over and die

attendances will fall at the swamp

there will be some dressing room disharmony because some big names (Van Rapist, Grannyshagger if he stays, Camelface) will all kowtow to the pisscan but will not do so to anybody else

the new manager will ship out a number of players like Smalling Jones and Cleverley who are basically run of the mill players whom the pisscan has got the best out of

there are many others.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany: "Sir Alex, one of the best managers of all time. After 26 years of success in the game, we all owe him a tribute."

A tribute by stuffing the pie eaters at weekend!!!!!!!!!!!1

Why is everybody wetting themselves over mourinho yes he has been succesful no doubt but look at this season he has been comprehensively beaten by barca in the league despite them having large portions when they didnt play well, he was lucky to scrape through to the semis of the cl this year as well. This with a squad containing ronaldo, ozil, di maria, varane amongst others , when he was at chelsea he spent heavily to get them where they are when chelsea couldnt be matched.

Lets see how well he does with a squad containing carrick, phil jones, smalling, giggs, scholes etc.

Would rather see Mourinho at the Rags with average cash than at Chelsea with Mata, hazard, oscar, luis, ramieres, and pots of cash.

BTW masterstroke by City to give them the league let them spunk a load of money on a 30 year old just to spare baconchops blushes and thus ensuring he would do one !

Now is the time to well an truely blow them out of the water. Sod FFP this is the moment. All great generals strike when the enemy is at its weakest or distracted. Now is the time.

The rags have money, the thought of Mourinho at the swamp is a scary thought.

Sky news saying they've picked a replacement already.

Great post gh. An absolute genius masterstroke by Mancini, we gave up a battle to win the war. General Patten would have been proud.

I think many of us will miss him when he's gone more than we care to admit.

Life will be a lot duller without him.

Correct.

Especially for people my age who have only followed football for the years in which he's been at United.

It'll be odd to see football without Ferguson, whether you respect him or hate him.

Funny, I both respect him and hate him in equal measures!

Euro wine mountain will be a fecking molehill in no time now. Just hope our beloved Fleet Street boys finally grow a pair and sharpen their hatchets and knives.
