What's he won at Everton?

God forbid we lose v Wigan but if we did Martinez would have won more!

Moyes will do a good job but not a great one, the thing is Unoited are a juggernaut and they need an elite manager. They've had a top 3 manager for the last 25+ years and now they don't. They have a good manager who's relatively untested and it's a huge leap of faith.

There is good reason the kopites sing 8 more years.

Hes done very well at Everton with no money - no one denies that surely. Yes he has no experience with money but that doesnt mean he will fail. What money he has had in the past he has always spent very well.

Everton havent won anything but in your opinion have they over or under acheived over the last 5 years?

You have to ask why they dont want mourinho but want moyes..

Their fans want Jose, check the forums!

The problem is their owners want a steady eddie who can manage on a set budget. Jose is a winner and will want to dominate. United meanwhile will need to managed shrewdly.

Moyes???
sportingintelligence ‏@sportingintel10m
#mufc sources say successor announcement "soon", and "he'll be cut from same cloth as Ferguson and Busby, and believe in youth development"

Re: Slurgie **Confirmed Retired** (merged)

I hope that Ferguson hangs around Old Trafford like a bad smell. In fact rather like Busby did in the early 1970s. None of his successors had the authority to stand up to him before Tommy Docherty. Having Ferguson stalk the corridors of the Swamp is just what an insecure manager like Moyes needs!

Whoever is appointed will not find United as patient as they were with Ferguson in his first four or five years into the job.

Thats easy - Moyes will play the puppet a lot more than Mourinho would.

Not sure Moyes is destined to fail though as everyone is hoping. Love it if he does but doubt the rags will flake away.

Would I have Moyes as a replacement for Mancini - No, but I do think he has done a great job at the blue bindippers.

Re: Slurgie **Confirmed Retired** (merged)

Odds falling apart for Jose now, drifted from 11/10 to 5/1 now. Moyes is 4/11!
Come on you beauts, sign Gollum!

No way Jose.
