Rags better get used to the fact they'll be on a a par with Dipperpool as their owners reign the spending in.

I can't open a sports website withiut seeing at least 10 topics about him. F.cking hate that. I know it's to be expected but it's just annoying as hell!

Just wait for the newspapers this weeked, 500 page souvenir special on how he brought united from the conference to the champions league on a tenner

Although it is good news, we can't get cocky because it will come right back at us. Not a chance united will crumble like some are saying. They have an half decent squad at the minute, and they will spend this summer. The only positive to come out of this is will they have there transfers lined up, or will they wait for the new manager to come in?

I agree mate, United are set up for many more years of success and those who think United are going to fall from the heavens now they are wrong.

The only thing going against United now is that if the new manager has a run of bad form, the fans will no doubt start to question, just as some on here do with Mancini even if he gets a draw, that's just modern management.

Not to forget the amount of media scrutiny United's new manager can possibly get, he has to earn the right to be almost uncriticizable like Fergie was, every loss will be analyzed differently and every draw will always bring a question mark up.

wow...out of the blue...

Hope it reduces their influence on other teams/referees and they start to struggle a la Liverpool as their squad isn't that good.

Need Gill to be got rid of now somehow as he's the main problem now.

No matter all his antics, bullying, abuse of officials and blatant disregard for what the rules are, the dirty tactics by his team, the fact he bought most of his trophies, failed in Europe far too often as well as in the cup competitions, you can't deny he's done a stunning job as a Premier League manager.

Let's hope as a club we benefit hugely just in getting more equal treatment.
Er Gill is gone too

No Gill has everyone's ears in the FA and UEFA, he's the most dangerous threat to our expansion and hopeful future domination at the moment.

3 rags run the FA/PL now in an attempt to preserve their status.
