Ferguson retires - Moyes new manager

All the rags I know are saying it will be fine as the team is that good they could play under any manager but to me Baconface is the real reason they have succeeded. He has been ruthless in getting rid of players who stepped out of line etc and so the rest of the squad knew they had to buckle down and get on with it.
Not just with rags but with Aberdeen as well. He does seem to have the knack of building successful teams and if he had been in charge at Everton I suspect they would have had more success.
Now however that iron fist of control has gone and Gollum will be under huge pressure to do what he has never done before..... win a trophy.
Without the bullying of officials as well the rags will lose that little extra edge. Im sure nearly all of the officials have breathed a sigh of relief at him quitting.
To be honest I cant see them imploding totally but I can see them having to fight hard for a top six place.

It keeps on getting better, in general.

Moyes is now the best Manager since Fergie.

As per United's PR department has gone into overdrive.

Moyes has been christened the *Chosen One*.

YCMIU.

This really is a golden age for the media bias crowd (myself being one). Hilarious and embarrassing in equal measure how Moyes is being held up to the world.

Heres one for the photoshop experts, Moyes head photoshopped onto Simbas body in that scene from the Lion King when he is held up for his kingdom to bow to.

(easier than PB's request also ;)

On Moyes getting a 6 year contract:

"It could've been 10, it could've been 10, you lucky bastards it could've been 10"

Hope you don't mind if that gets tweeted

The newest thing today (must be running out of people who spent 5 minutes at Utd) is how great they are for having a british manager and how its great for british coaches to see a top job go to a british coach/manager:

Hmmmm
Spurs: Arry
Us: Sparkless, Pearce, Keegan (ok last 2 before we were at this level)
Chelsea: Ok no one since Hoddle.
Arsenal: George Graham before Wenger.
Pool: Daglish, Hodgson, Rodgers

More PR spin bullshit from them

Baconface was on the turn, you could tell the way they imploded against Madrid after the Nani sending off. Ten years ago, he wouldn't have let that happen. And all the sentimental team selections with oap's Giggs and Scholes. Moyes will have none of that baggage. Past glories has allowed the pisscan to coast along, but he has made some odd selections in recent years and has totally ignored the fact that he needs a new midfield. If Moyes addresses this and shifts out the house cats, then he might just be onto something. Although, the powers that be and the gloryhunters might not let him. Lets see if he has the balls. If not, the only way is south.

From the BBC website:

Everton manager David Moyes will give a media conference at the club's training ground at 1330 BST ahead of his final home game in charge of the Toffees, against West Ham on Sunday, but reporters have been instructed not to ask questions about his move to Manchester United

Looks like Slurgies influence is still around
