This is dreamland as far as I'm concerned.

Ferguson out, Moyes in. Realistically couldn't have gone any better for us - Moyes is about as poor a choice as we could ever have hoped for them to make.

Pulis? Hughes?

Agree they would have been better choices (from our point of view) but they were never realistically going to drop their standards quite so low... Moyes is as poor a choice as we could have hoped for.

There are plenty of worse calls they could have made picking from their 'production line' of graduates from the Ferguson Managerial School - Robson, Bruce, Ince, Keane, Giggs, McLaren - but let's not be greedy, Moyes is a fantastic choice to drag them down and we should be grateful for it.

Best of all was Sky doing a comparison with Mancini...

Head to head premier League.. blah blah....

They didn't mention trophies though for some reason

No mention of his Head to heads against Chelsea,Arsenal,Spurs or Mickeys though.

The best part yesterday of the shrieking Scot Jim Whyte's "Live" reporting from The Swamp were the interviews with the United fans outside the Megastore.

5 fans were chosen (unusually all had Manc accents) each and every one sang the praises of the Trophy -less former Everton Manager.

I cant believe that you can get 5 Utd fans at random without any of them calling for Mourinho. Where's the "Agenda" thread gone.

I know a few reds.. work with a few as well. NOT ONE is happy with Moyes, not one!

Last night.. that idiot Matt Holland (self confessed RAG) was eulogising about Moyes... as the perfect choice.... when asked by Durham, "Given the choice of Guardiola or Moyes, who would you pick right now for united". Guess what he answered? Yep, you're right. Seriously deluded these rag idiots. Moyes is a myth

Good point.

Imagine standing outside the City shop if Mancini had gone to be replaced by Moyes, I suspect there would be some colourful opinions expressed, I suspect very few, if any, would be positive.

Can someone do a video mix which shows the scene in LOTR where Gollum gets the ring, falls into the Cracks of Doom and Mordor crumbles, then cuts to that scene of Mancini grinning in his seat at the 6-1?
Will this do?

Not bad at all. That's the sort of thing I had in mind.

From the BBC website:

Everton manager David Moyes will give a media conference at the club's training ground at 1330 BST ahead of his final home game in charge of the Toffees, against West Ham on Sunday, but reporters have been instructed not to ask questions about his move to Manchester United

Looks like Slurgies influence is still around
That's fucking stupid. What's the point of the press bothering to turn up if they can't ask about his move?

It's amazing how a manager who has never won a trophy in his career is now the chosen one at United.

The propaganda and bullshit that comes out of the PR department at the swamp and it's media stooges is staggering.

Every single red I know is gutted with this appointment, absolutely gutted. It's completely taken the gloss off the shiny pot they will be parading around town on Monday. There will be flood of tears I reckon..."Please don't go Suraligs".."It's like me mam and dad dying"....

It's gone from mild disappointment yesterday to "well name another manager in the prem who's better and we could get?" in work today.

Mentioned what about foreign coaches, "No we want someone who'll stay for a long time, the foreign ones will only do a couple of years then fuck off", also what about O'neil, Hughes, Bruce, Keane, Solksjaer, Mclaren, aren't these all supposed to have been moulded the 'Ushited' way?

Faces were priceless when i mentioned Moyes will only do a couple of seasons then get sacked he's that far out of his depth and they'll be looking again.

They're also in denial that people like Laudrup, De Boer, Simeone are better than Moyes. They've got him because he'll be a patsy for when it all goes tits up.

BBC Sports day - breaking sports news Live

1219:
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says it was an honour and a pleasure to compete against Sir Alex Ferguson.

"For me, it has been a great honour and pleasure to compete against Sir Alex for three years," said Mancini. "It was a great honour to beat him in Old Trafford and I wish him good luck for his future."

I love it! It was a great honour to compete against Ferguson, and lest any one forget, it was a great honour to beat him at Old Trafford!! Roberto! Bloody Brilliant!
