Will hopefully get a good send off. Been an amazing player for us. Paid 5 millions of his own fee just to get it done, and then repaid the the other 30 odd million by being a absolute hero.

Very happy Pep came in and made him a player that is on everyone lips during his last couple of seasons here, and not just the unsung hero he was from day one.

Will be missed, but part of sustaining succes is knowing how and when to replace these kind of players, I can see a spree coming

If he were leaving, I wonder if he'd be retiring too?

Whatever happens it'd be criminal not to have him around in some capacity when he's done, assuming Fernandinho would be open to it. Kompany was always the leader, but Fernandinho was/is the wise figurehead. I think that's just as seldom occurring in the game as any major positive kind of influence so it'd be tough to replace immediately.

I think he might be taking Arteta's place. Or at the least joining the staff.

fernandinho had a ruff start at city and looked like he could be off before pep come ?? but pep knew he was the man for that holding role and he controlled the whole team from there and the 100 points and the back to back title was down to him, super player smooth as silk and hard as nails he could handle himself and make it look easy at times

fernandinho could be the new coach and part of the coaching team next season, even a player coach when needed, but like david silva who can blame him for taking a bumper offer from usa or china, both have earn the right for a new project somewhere else and will be held in the highest esteem at manchester city and the fans

What are you talking about? dinho was a legend long before pep came along,first name on the team sheet,he was never going anywhere at any stage

Fernandinho will be given the contract offer I am sure but he may well want to do something new. I would like to think he will decide before the end of the season so he can get a proper send off or the club will adjust it’s targets accordingly.

I've just watched it,the question was who announced in the summer this would be their final season,mahrez says dinho and dave,dinho in his final year of his contract,i think he meant that

Dinho just recently said he feels good and is not going to stop playing yet,pep says all contract talk is going to wait till the summer

The jury is out for me

he was looking a different player to what pep has turned him into and the media was calling him slow and finished about 4 seasons ago, as for YAYA he needed nobody to cover his back in that midfield a man mountain and strong as an ox and nobody and i mean NOBODY could stop him in full flight
