Sky are being wankers again, we did not pay £30M for him.

Sky sources and talksport sources are people looking at rumors on twitter or making it up as they go along

also saying we paid 24 million for jesus. thought it was 17 million.
But only the 2 clubs involved know the fees, the media are guessing. annoying though how every deal for us reported includes wages and its not reported like that for anyone else. if its a lot lower than reported we should make the announcement with the actual fee, just the transfer.

I remember Mike Parry on talkSHITE slagging off a City fan one morning and asked him who had ever heard of Yaya Toure and David Silva? The City fan gave him both barrels!

I'll probably get slaughtered for saying this and not towing the party line which seems to be whenever we are linked to somebody or buy somebody then everyone raves about how they are going to propel us to bigger and better things. Now I'll be the first to admit I don't know that much about players outside of England these days, largely due to a combination of my age, my lifestyle and the fact I generally can't be arsed studying players whose names I'd struggle to find in the countdown conundrum but none of the buy's so far really actually get me 'THAT' excited. Yes I can't wait for the season to start and yes it's stating the bleeding obvious that they must be good players but are they really the best available we could realistically sign. I'm sure everybody will tell me yes they are - but -and it's only a hesitant 'but' -I'll reserve any judgements until December and the end of the year.

Like you, I'll reserve judgement about the buys once I take my seat at the start of the new season and see how it pans out.

Youtube videos are misleading so we will have to trust that the powers that be, know what they are doing. One thing was obvious from last season though, and that is that we needed a good wide player and a more mobile defensive midfielder. We have hopefully got them now. Now for someone with the killer instinct in front of goal and roll on august.

I don't think it'll get announced until.next week cause for 1 the paperwork and negations still aren't done and our mgmt doesn't wanna rush it. Give them time to finish everything and finalize over the weekend and be fully prepared for an announcement and reveal on Monday or early next week

Seems to fall within that timescale to me.

Yes has done regularly for Shakhtar, but not his strongest asset... His best abilities are dribbling/moving the ball forward with a lot of speed and power, breaking play wiht a NDJ-esque style/aggression and we cannot forget his power and accuracy on shooting outside the box...

he is fucking cool and will bring a great new element to the City Midfield (excuse my french!)
