A twat was on here earlier wumming about it, the twitter rumour will have started from that.

He's fine.

Yes some twat talking about knowing someone at the club who reported that he had a hip injury. I can't find anything to substantiate this and normally someone would be reporting it

The first reference to this on this forum was on page 91 and following of the pre match thread by the enchantingly named 'goatfacedkillah'. A few pages later he elaborates about being related to someone who is married to someone who works in the club etc etc

Of course as these things happen once someone wums about a key player, and then you add the ingredient of a big match, then these unsubstantiated rumours take on a life of its own.

If the lovely goatfacedkillah is correct, then I will be the first to recognise that he is ITK.

If he is wrong then floating such nonsense deserves an appropriate punishment.

It's impossible to underestimate the importance of this guy. If we have Barry playing alongside Yaya tonight I am shitting a brick. Not that Barry was bad, but Fernandinho is just better and better suited to us. With Fernandinho in, we are too good for Chelsea and we'll win the midfield battle, which means we'll win the game.

Barry's at Everton.

What?

Now I finished by cup of tea and read the tea leaves - they say he's deffo playing. If for any reason the tea leaves are wrong (they never are} then Milner will step in and do a fantastic job peeps.... And relax and breath in and breath out slowly and chill :-D .... 3-1 win for City

Fernandinho is vital for Yaya to play his game and that is what worries me with his potential absence.

Kun, Nasri and Fernandinho have been in our top 5 players this season in my opinion, missing all three would be an absolute nightmare.

Have you ever cast your gaze upon an impending City game without a sense of overwhelming doom?

I have in the pre match thread for this game, but soon as this rumour came out I went back to my doom mode.

I do fear for us without Fernandinho and Sergio.

I find sams pessimism somewhat reassuring these days......I realise that it's just part of the natural order of things and a portent that all will be well.
