Fernandinho (continued)

Re: Fernandinho

For me it comes back to the old line of thinking that you can tell a class player from only a few touches and passes.

From the first moment I saw Fernandinho (think it was the games in Hong Kong), I knew we were onto a winner. He's probably the most well-rounded player in the squad and to me the major catalyst in the change of our style of play under Pellegrini.

We need to unearth just one more at around his level and we'll be complete IMO.

This lad as surprised me . I thought he would struggle . But no we have a decent Brazilian for a change . Better than that trio Jo , Elano and Robinho .
He's not better than Glauber Berti though.

Re: Fernandinho

Problem with Fernandinho is there is no fuss as he makes it look easy so not noticed. Great physique and engine. He does everything. His reading of the game means he is nearly always in postion and in control and so rarely gets injured. Now starting to get forward more as well as cover in defence. Paulinho? Pah!

i liked Barry but Fernandinho is different gravy. Rodwell should look and learn.

Re: Fernandinho

Whereas his fellow-countrymen Lucas and Willian embody the transition to functional play , Fernandinho is in the classic Brazilian style. His brace against Arsenal was brilliantly taken and seems to have really boosted his confidence. The way he tricked Palace's Mariappa was a real moment of magic to add to the workrate and determination which he's shown since he first arrived. The defeat at Sunderland showed just how much he's missed on the rare occasions when he doesn't play and , when Milner was there to share the load with him, it led to the fantastic result in Munich

Re: Fernandinho

Paulinho injured for 4+ weeks... Brazil have a friendly in March in South Africa. Surely a chance for Fernandinho to be called up... (though from a selfish POV, he'd fly back on the 5th or 6th and we have Villa at home on the 8th).

He's rubbish, I struggle to understand how he gets a game for us ;o)

Re: Fernandinho

The most important player in our team and that's with my username. He allows Yaya to play 10 yards further forward. He could do the Yaya job whereas Yaya couldn't do the Fernandinho job. the drop from Fernandinho to Garcia is quite frankly shocking.
