Fernandinho (continued)

Re: Fernandinho

He's awesome and will get better as well. There are times when he could just go on his own but chooses, incorrectly, to pass. Next season when he's even more settled he'll have the confidence to do it himself.

Love the guy.

Attacks like Scholes, defends like Viera. :)

He really has, as the saying goes, "got it all" - the complete midfielder.

Re: Fernandinho

He makes the top of the list in the Bleacher Report, he really is making an impact everywhere now.

Complete turnaround - didn't they have him on their Worst Transfers list a few weeks ago? Hard to think of a better fit for this side, and I now rate him higher than Toure who tends to go missing if he gets out of the wrong side of bed.

Re: Fernandinho

Most intelligent footballer i've seen at City for quite a while. The way he reads the opposition player's next move and puts himself there to tackle or intercept is an real artform. And when in possession, he plays the right pass every time. With his game you feel like every pass has a purpose, a clear intention, be it to draw the opposition out (the way he plays little combinations with Yaya, bringing them out, then sliding a ball in behind them into the space he created). Whenever possible, he passes forward quickly. He also knows when to advance with the ball at his feet and then plays the pass the moment a defender commits himself. Contrast that to Garcia who takes a touch and then passes even if he's got 20 yards of space infront of him. In a nutshell, Fernandinho is fucking class.

Re: Fernandinho

We'll be fucked if this guy injured, all of our back up CMs are just shit though.

Isn't he one yellow away from being suspended in the CL? I'm dreading him being booked against Barca at home.

We desperately need decent back up for him.

Yellows get wiped after the group stages I believe.
