Typical. Echo chamber cult. I’ve put the hard yards in as a fan and am entitled to praise and criticise as I see it.

This isn’t Pep FC is it. He’s paid big money to make big calls and when he fucks it up royally (Lyon, Chelsea x 2 etc.) deserves calling out for it.

Should have started Silva v Lyon - best midfield player at the club.

Should have started Sergio v Chelsea in the CL. Best striker at the club, talisman and probably the most fired up for the game.

Should have started Ferna v Chelsea. Defensive rock, club captain and leader.

All major major fuck ups.

You can’t prove the counter factual in sport, but Im not being wise in handsight all this was obvious eat the time.

The trouble with forums is that it’s members are often reluctant to listen to views that differ from their own.

If you’re not happy to vocally criticise people for stupid mistakes that cost the club very dearly and could have been avoided then that’s your look out.

Pep is great, he’s a hugely successful manager for us. But he’s made some terrible decisions too and nobody seems bothered, or bothered enough to ask why?

My view is that it’s not enough for him to win by playing his best team, but that he has a need to add a personal dimension to the equation.

Aguero shouldnt of started the champions league, Pep should of played the exact team and style/formation that we used to a success before.

As much as Aguero is loved by us all, was the right call to not start him.

Hopefully he’ll get treated with more respect than Dave and Sergio

Silva was treated with the upmost respect. You must have a very poor memory.

As for Agüero... it wasn't the best ending, but what else was Pep supposed to do? "Alright mate I know you never play anymore and haven't scored from open play in over a year but we're going to keep paying you over 200k a week, making it unnecessarily difficult to fit our new striker into the wage bill, just to keep AndyP68 on Bluemoon happy". We all wanted Agüero to stay but it just wasn't realistic.

Like, all of this is spot on... but it doesn't equate to Silva and Kun being disrespected. It just means Pep's a bit shit in the Champions League, which we've all known for years. You talk like you're one of the few City fans who's noticed that Pep repeatedly costs us the Champions League but pretty much all of us agree on that, it just doesn't really have much to do with respect.

Why does Sli Stones have to refer to Fern as “a member of the team who lost the CL final to chelsea? Nothing to do with him being a City hating rag **** I assume?

The main criticism of Pep in the final was the selection of Raz, as it messed up what had been working in the previous rounds, not the fact that he didn’t select Sergio. Sergio should never have started that final.

One of the first on the team sheet for me - especially in the big games.................great news................
Except the very big games. I think this is more for his leadership qualities then on field contributions although you can't fault his recent efforts. I hope he goes out on a high and the additional season is a notable one for him.

Have you been following David Silva since he departed. Never has a bad word to say and is extremely supportive. The way the Club treated him when his baby was ill will never be forgotten by the Silva family, no other club could have treated him better.

No farewell match because of Covid, but would David have wanted a fuss - I very much doubt he would.
