Zabeta - to slow, corluka is faster and better. Boateng is better than zabaleta.
Kompany - dont like him CB would rather have Nedum there.
De jong - shit, an accident waiting to happen.
Silva - far too light weight for the prem.
Milner - shite.

Thats just off the top of my head.

There is actually a whole thread from about 4 years ago about how kompany is shit. Its a funny read.

Okay, no negativity for negativity's sake, having read previous posts I think he does need a bit more time - just not half a season - to find his feet, but if he is anything like as good as his admirers think he is he needs to get a move on. Agree with those who pointed out his improved performance in the second half against Hull, did start to look a quality player and i'm sure we'll start to see a consistent class act very soon. If we are to make the most of his attributes and get the best out of him and lazy arse Yaya, they need an oppo to complete this midfield triumvirate, someone to do the vital if unglamourous midfield defensive donkey work, in other words fill the vacant NDJ role, and for me that should be Milner. Grit, pride, passion, timing, stamina and nous in abundance, although some may think he would be wasted in such role.

Milner reckons his best position is attacking central midfield. Have we ever used him in that role?

There was one poster who said Nedum and Richards would be a better CB pairing than Kompany and lescott. That poster still posts today i think.

Playing in a two man midfield alongside a player who doesn't do Premier League defending for 90 minutes IS.
I say two man midfield because nobody who started in AM against Hull today did any defending whatsoever.
The pressing was too slow such that the ball was passed before the player got to block/harry thus leaving a big hole behind the AMs and the DMs.
A shambles really.

Spot on and could be our downfall this season unless we change it. Yaya is never going to bust a gut to get back behind the ball and protect the back four and better sides will cut through the middle of us like a knife through butter.

There are always individual opinions that are a bit quirky ( I still think Micah Richards would make a good centre forward), but it's more the general view that's at issue here.

He's no Nigel de Jong is he?

No,he's much faster,more mobile and has an eye for a range of passes.

He may be faster, although I'm not so sure over say the first 5 yards. Not sure he's more mobile, cos I don't know how you'd measure that, but tbf, he may be.
In terms of passing I'd be amazed if he has a higher pass completion % than NDJ. Yes, he might try a few more adventurous passes than NDJ but he gives possession away far more & leaves us exposed

jesus christ i can't believe what i'm reading on here. did anyone watch him against newcastle? because he was one of our best 3. cardiff the whole team was poor but he was by no means anywhere near the worst, and today he had a poor first half like the whole team did and was much better in the second, again probably one of our best 4-5 players today.

what the fuck is wrong with you people. seriously.

and you all sound like bitter rags or jealous other clubs' fans when you're going on about his price tag. seriously if you wanted to analyze his performance and say what he could do better, or how you think we could utilize him more efficiency, fine. but this is just a giant angry circle jerk because bluemoon has to have a scapegoat.
