He did alright last night , it was a good performance from both the player and the team , as a whole ....but in general we are still guilty of giving the ball away too cheaply on occasion ..... Newcastle were that poor they couldn't capitalise , but better sides might.

I can only presume that you mean visually, from afar, like top of EL3, or even Mary D's.
superb start to his City career and whilst its prudent to note Newcastle's lacklustre display played a part in making him look good, his work rate and hassling for the ball, as well as a couple of inch perfect passes bode well for the future. More of the same and I'll be we'll pleased.

He and Yaya completed 171 of 186 passes last night.

That's more than half of Newcastle's total.

Just wait till they play more games together and ferna settles in further...

Could be something

Anyone read the rag ladynan's verdict on fernandino
" solid enough but is that all you get for £30million?
City have wasted enough money on brazilians like robinho and jo
And its time one came off. Not as effectve as compatriot paulinho had been for spurs
And was booked for hauling down goufran

Wanker. I through he was great last night.

Excellent addition and one sorely needed.

Not just for when Yaya is unavailable but also because him and Yaya in the middle are like a rock. We are playing teams that have play makers, wingers, players who can make something out of nothing and it his signing is invaluable. All this media pouting going on is amateurish.

City will have the last laugh when Yaya and Fernan neutralize some of the EPL's best midfields.

Decent first game although I think people expecting him to bang the goals in are tripping - his last few seasons at Shakhtar weren't exactly full of goals but as long as the team in general are scoring then who cares.

A solid start. Composed on the ball and winning the ball around the park there seems a calmness when he has the ball at his feet. So looking forward to his and Yayas partnership and to see just how good the pair will be together.

Redcafe with this gem about our new midfield ace.

(They would wank themselves silly for such a player in their midfield)

Tbf think the poster was talking about Sinclair

A good case of "When Not Quoting Someone Goes Wrong". He was definitely talking about Sinclair. Of course, earlier in that thread he had this gem:

Wrong. Navas will fail in the PL, Isco is a top talent.

:)
