Fernando vs Garcia

After todays effort, hopefully some of the crackpots will give him a few days off from the nonsense they spout.

Absolutely outstanding today, our best player by a mile when they still had 11 men and even offered some great stuff going forwards. Still needs help in midfield though, hugely overworked.
Yep. His passing was superb too. Hit a couple of pinpoint 40 Hardee's to switch play. He looked the business today.
Honourable mention for his outside of the foot pass to Aguero when de gea made a good block.

Hit a cracking ball over every red defender for Aguero to pluck and run at them; must have been well over 50 yards. Liked Garcia, but that was never in his locker.

Quality today.
Agreed. Much better than Garcia. Fernando can even offer something going forward, quality cross for Kun to score.

That was Clichy, bud - but agree that Fernando was very good today. Strong ahead of the back 4 (he gave away the ball once, and immediately fought and won it back), some nice long ball passes, and one good sprint down the left wing to show he has it going forward too. This thread should be closed - no comparison with Garcia.

the actual goal? that was Clichy. are you referring to another cross?

Nando had a great game today, especially in the first half. His best perfomance in a City shirt, though of course, there haven't been many as yet.

He looked so much better than in any game since he returned from injury and hopefully, he'll now kick on and turn in some consistently good performances.

As for a comparison with Javi Garcia, well there really is none. As much as I defended our former DM, I wouldn't swap him - nor NdJ - for Fernando.

the one in the 1st half with the out side of his boot. When doughnut stealer did that good save.
