Such a shame when threads in the TF are unceremoniously derailed by one WUM and 16 posters who need to yell about how someone is WUM'ing. We can all see it. If you don't talk to them or reply to them they have no oxygen and die.

In the meantime all I'm interested in is Fernando and whether there's any truth to the horrible rumours Javi Garcia is leaving!

If Fernando signs, you've got to think someone's going from our midfield, be it JG, Jimmy or Jack.

No need, but the game moves on and we should always seek out players who are better than those we have, and I'm sure there will be many out there to improve on the two you have just named. Finding an improvement on Silva or Aguero would be quite a challenge though!

I agree but I have always assumed that Jack would be the one to miss out as he was so far behind Garcia in the pecking order in the season just gone. If we are letting Garcia go then we will need to sign two centre mid players this summer.

Jimmy's not a centre mid player in that Pellegrini obviously doesn't fancy him there. If he were to leave I reckon we'd be getting another attacking mid player to replace him.

Personally I really don't want Garcia to leave. Improved immeasurably in the last 12 months as he's got to grips with the pace of the premier league. Him, and Negredo, for that matter are the perfect squad players IMO. They won't complain if they don't play too much and they will do their best and not sulk when they are called upon to play.

If anyone it would be Javi I suppose. We cannot afford to lose anymore "home grown" players, and we could get some coin for JG, to subsidise any other transfer dealings.

Given the current squad plus Fernando & a foreign CB both Rodwell & Garcia would miss out on the CL next season. Any other signings (or outgoings) could change that.

W'ed have 4 players for the defensive midfield position. Three is plenty Fernandinho, Fernando and Rodwell or Garcia. Rodwell for me because Garcia
will probably need to be left out of C/L squad.

We'd be better of loaning Rodwell because if we get Fernando even when hes fit he probably wont get a chance and no point selling a potentially very good player.

Surely he would have sorted all this out long ago when he agreed terms with us (assuming he has ?), fee said to be agreed between the clubs (or is it ?). Something is not right with this dragging on as it is.
