Fernando, subject to a medical, will be a fantastic signing. One of the best defensive midfielders and he will make our defence look and be better than last season. Add a quality centre half into that mix and we will be harder to score against than last season.

At 26 years old his best years are ahead of him.

This will also free Fernandinho to go further forward and we know what he can do when that happens.

Good squad player and will add abit of bite and energy in our midfield happy with this signing and a steal at 12mil. now all we need to swipe Garay from under the noses of Zenit and we are sorted!lol(too late!lol) Cracking window in terms of value so far 12mil for Sagna and Fernando they are bound to worth 30-40 mil!

Major reason was that Dzeko delivered. Away at Everton he was exposed badly almost got sent off for pulling shirts due to his pace.

Quality signing. For the first time I will feel confident our midfield can stand toe-to-toe with the big clubs in the CL.

Hopefully, means Dave and Nasri spend more time and effort attacking than defending.

I was just being a bit wry.

Still, to me it's not done until the club announce it. I've seen deals collapse closer to completion than this. There's no indication that the player has signed, just that Porto have agreed a fee. I've seen plenty of foreign clubs announce the sale/purchase of players long before the deal is actually confirmed.
 
Finally and welcome fernando!! Brilliant piece of business and gonna be a massive part of the future midfield jigsaw.
