Ferran Soriano & Txiki Begiristain

There are some incredibly short sighted and frankly naiive posts here that are quite staggering - out by the end if the year yes right!

Soriano has been brought in as part of a 20 year plan to globalise city and make us the top sporting organisation in the world with the best academy, the biggest turnover and city teams in the biggest most significant cities in the world.
Anyone who thinks this big picture plan and the people driving it will be changed willy nilly by a few poor results really doesn't understand our owners or their plans in the slightest!

Soriano will be here for years - Trixi quite probably too.

Also the clubs biggest priorities are champions league, breaking even and the academy project if we do well on these i really don't see any panic or pressure on anyone bar underperforming players in terms if keeping jobs!

What is the mission from owning city? To show that Abu Dhabi is stable, long term successful place for people to inset with a business culture that is worth the world investing in to help them with their long term post oil strategy. If anyone thinks for one second they will knee jerk fire eco's because fans are emotional about a defeat at Sunderland them you are displaying the same ignorance of our owners that rags, arsenal fans etc do with the "when they get bored" routine

Absolute bollocks - How do you know this? 20yrs!!! Also the clubs biggest priorities are champions league, breaking even and the academy project if we do well on these i really don't see any panic or pressure on anyone bar underperforming players in terms if keeping jobs!

Go on then, which website have you lifted this from-This is exactly what Mansour was quoted as saying recently yet you are writing it as if you have thought of it.... If anyone thinks for one second they will knee jerk fire eco's because fans are emotional about a defeat at Sunderland them you are displaying the same ignorance of our owners that rags, arsenal fans etc do with the "when they get bored" routine

Both will be out the club by end of the season. Took Roman 4 seasons to realise that sacking Mourinho was wrong.

I would love for you to be right but if it's a choice between Pellegrini should results not improve or these 2,who's arse do you think they will save???

Ferran will be judged on the success of globalising city, opening new teams on NYC and an even bigger city, getting us to break even, expanding the ground, opening the academy in time, giving us a voice amongst the elite and the long term growth of city!

Trixi will be judged long term on the talent coming to the academy, the build of our first team squad, successfully improving the cost of wages and amort and how we succeed on mid term objectives

Manuel will be judged against footballing objectives the biggest one of which for our owners was getting past the group stage in the champions league and getting closer to the title - I suspect despite hysteria they will not be at all disappointed at the moment with how we are going on any Of those three fronts

When you have a 20 year strategy you pursue it, you don't panic at small set backs, you don't change direction at every problem you deal with them all in a nature reasons long term manner - thankfully these guys not the fans run the club or we would be selling the entire squad, changing managers, changing our ground plans every 30 seconds

The plan might not change and that's fair enough , the plan on the premiership front is to win titles.

The people you entrust to achieve it do however change and often regularly for a variety of reasons and replaced by people that at least in theory can reach those objectives quicker and more efficiently.

No one is bigger than the project and no one is indispensable.

I will 100% guarantee you that should we not get top 4 this season he will be sacked (if not before).
You go on about the future, long term plans etc etc. That is accepted by all city fans that we must be self sustaining, break even etc and we are well on the way to that however if you ask most fans what they currently want is a succesfull team on the pitch rather than 200 mill in the bank!!
Didn't know we are now going to be the new Arsenal.Doing everything the supposed right way but winning fuck all!!
Do you seriously think that Soriano and Begiristain are happy with things on the pitch despite huge backing in the summer?
Take ones head out of the sand and look at our results away from home.Zero improvement.Of course the results on the pitch are not of the Spanish pairs doing, however the choice to employ Pellegrini was theirs. They should also live and die by their decisions.

It is not about being arsenal it is about in the long term being a self sustained team in multiple continents that has the type of success Madrid did in the 50's and that is about the long term!

As for this season I am pretty sure the bookies are right and we will win the league which will make all this nonsense even funnier ! I read all tho scrap when we lost 3-0 to Liverpool on 2011 I read it all again when we lost to arsenal in 2012 - a load of over dramatic hysteria that just looks silly a few weeks later

You said it was about long term business success and losing the odd away game is all part and parcel.
I think your view would change if we didn't get top 4 this season. That put's us back 2 seasons in reality for this so called global domination and mate with all due respect we will never be a fucking Real Madird or Barcelona!!

If you believe the sheikh tasked pellegrini with being top after 11 games then fair enough he should be sacked, if you believe the task was to compete for the title after 38 games and get through the champs league group stage then you are sane and you have your answer

If if if, if the league was decided after 11 games you would be right, if the league has been 30 games in 2012 we wouldn't have won it etc. The league is 38 games we always knew the clubs with new managers would start slowly and most of us would have been confident that if we were within a win or two if top on &jan 1 we would be in great shape to win it. We probably will be so why the panic???

No I don't but I also don't believe the powers that be will accept regression come what may as some think they will.
Re the CL group-Come on mate-with all due respect it wasn't exactly a hard group was it? What happened when we played Bayern at home-The manager got it 100% wrong tactically.
We could in reality be out of the title race (hopefully not) after the next 4-5 games so what happens then?
We have dined at the top table, being out of the top 4 is simply not an option.Me personalyl,I would take top 4 right now and a good cup run.
