File under "Fiction".

now now PB, you know that it's all true apart from the bit about "no intention of keeping Mancini". If Roberto had accepted the reduced "Pelle" role he would have stayed and we probably would be reigning league champions and FA cup holders. Sadly he'd tasted power and wouldn't co-operate.
I've foresworn Mancini-bashing on here but I do know what's true and what isn't.
please be a little more specific about what you see as untrue in TGR's account then

Tbh personally i'm about another 2 away performances like that last one away from calling for pellegrini's head myself, how the fuck the rags have overtaken us I do not know, but there's a big question mark over some of the players mentality in away games as well and the last thing I want to see the club do is become another Chelsea, with a landfill full of sacked managers and players on contracts-for-life.

Agree that the 2 Barca's Boys have to go if Pellegrini fails. Hopefully these away defeats are teething problems but we can't afford many more slip ups, particularly against very beatable teams.

Pellegrini shares a problem with Mancini in that if the Barca boys Khaldoon operate an open door policy to meet disgruntled players / primadonnas, they undermine the manager and the dressing room spirit.

it was mancini that undermined the spirit of the dressing room. when players like aguero and kompany are pissed off by the manager you have to wonder about manager

Mancini did not do himself any favours at times on that I think we all agree. However he was undermined from start to finish and top to bottom by the Spanish duo without a shred of doubt.

They played politics for their own gain and to achieve their own objectives instead of putting the best interests of the club first.

We should have strengthened the squad after we won the title but they chose not to. Why not?

They created the 'open door policy' to turn the players against Mancini and were successful.

They gave Mancini a 5 year contract extension when they had no intention of keeping him whatsoever. They didn't have the balls to sack him so they actively worked against him on all fronts to make his position untenable.

And eventually when they did sack him they hung him out to dry with the press and made a serious and concerted attempt to blacken his name and tarnish his reputation.

I wouldn't trust them with a barge pole!

However; you reap what you sow in this world...

Surely they did not oversee the transfers the season after we won the prem, it was Brian wasn't it?

Marwood was the Spanish proxy patsy from January 2012 until the Barca Boys were officially appointed in September and October.

Marwood was the Spanish proxy pony from January 2012.

Well that's a made up fact you have absoloutely no evidence of that.

Soriano and his oppo were chosen to replace Cook in December 2011, the official appointment was delayed because of problems at Spanair but an unsuccessful Australian candidate went public about it in January.

When all's said and done ... this thread, like the Pellegrini one, is populated by disgruntled Mancini fanboys looking to take their ire out on two of the most respected executives in world football.

And Mancini outers giving the opposite viewpoint. In effect just the same as when Mancini was in charge but positions switched around.

Anyone with half a brain can see how immature and ignorant it is to take against one manager, because you loved the previous one so much, or in fact, to take against two guys who's job you have no idea about, because you've decided they were in fact responsible for the object of your irrational affection being sacked.

But yeah other that that, and the fact that most people who wanted Mancini out could actually string a coherent thought together and had a point, the situations are the same.
