Why?

I'm chesterfield at the moment btw.

Quite like the scouting system but tend to find that if I just gamble on a load of free transfers it's better than paying for them, as they all seem of similar quality. My transfer budget at chesterfield after getting promoted is 2 million so I'm slightly reluctant to spend 5 million on a scout (after saving up!)

if that's a pop at me then I was explaining what people do in games to me all the time, not what I do. I play as city n it pisses me off that I keep the ball most of the game for them to long through ball to the wing, cross and score. I play the 5-2-1-2 formation now to try and stop it. everyone I seem to play is real Madrid might have the odd bayern game thrown in

I got Preston to the premiership and they expected me to keep them up on 800 grand. So I signed 5 free agents which basically feels like cheating now. I like picking up the pre-contract deals, that's all I have the scouts look for the firsf half of the season.
 
I just started playing Fifa 14 yesterday. The game seems to be excellent. I don't play games much at all, except for Fifa which I buy every year (for Xbox). I only play with City and only in the Seasons mode. Below is my lineup for Fifa 14. I am curious if there are others who play and the lineups they use.

I go either with 3-5-2 or 4-2-3-1. More frequently I use the 4-2-3-1 lined up like this:

Hart
Richards - Kompany - Nastasic - Clichy
Yaya - Kolarov
Navas - Sergio - Jovetic
Dzeko

I chose my full-backs based on speed; I placed Kolarov as DM because when I am on attack the balls that wonder around 18 yard area come to him and he has an awesome shot; Navas is a beast of a winger due to the speed; I used Dzeko and Negredo interchangably but Dzeko seems to score more for me. I sub in sometimes Milner for Navas, and Silva/Nasri for Sergio/Jovetic.

What do other people use?
 
I'm hardly ever city on fifa career mode . I'm currently dynamo Dresden and Slovenia and iv named myself uwe rosler . I just like a challenge and iv got Dresden into the top flight and currently about 7th. Had to sell a few to raise money and have signed a few and have Marcos lopes on a second season long loan . Good player !. I signed that rag janozja, or whatever his name is, for about £600,000 so he should become a good player .
 
Does anyone know where you can sell Ultimate team coins for Xbox?

I heard ebay is unsafe, and everytime i try to list on gumtree it gets removed.

everyone I know who sells coins does it via ebay. I don't sell coins so I'm not really in the know as to why ebay is potentially unsafe

basically the buyer can put in a claim and say that he never recieved his item, he'll get his money back and keep his coins. the seller isnt protected because its a digital item
 
Anyone who plays on PC, have you tried playing with SweetFX enabled? It looks incredible.

I never thought I'd say this, because in the past I've always felt that people's complaints about the new FIFA every year were sort of a knee-jerk overreaction and an oversensitivity to change...

But yeah, this year, I'm that person I guess. FIFA14 is not as good as FIFA 13. Career mode is bad. I play on the same difficulty setting and can't score a goal let alone win a game. I guess I should just change it to an easier setting, but it frustrates me that I have to. Also, couldn't they have at least given us the option to see player ratings? I'll grant that they may have been a bit arbitrary and that people over-used them, and that it may be more realistic without them, but for goodness sake it's a game and a fantasy and it doesn't have to be THAT realistic. I used to love improving lower rated players and watching their rating go up. Now it's not possible.

Also, the laggy menus in career were absurd (though I think they have since fixed this to a point), and the amount of bad connections in regular online matches are outnumbering the good ones. Why play if it isn't smooth?

At first I liked the game because the shooting/scoring looked a bit better and more realistic, and the shielding the ball button is a great feature, but overall I find myself getting frustrated and not playing the game for weeks at a time, which NEVER would've happened with 13.

I know that the truth of the matter is this: I will play it more, adapt to it, and end up enjoying it on some level, because even a bad version of a good game is still quite good, but it is a shame that it's not all that it could have been.
 
Played it for the first time last night, i think it's great, much more realistic and it really feels like the players are like what they are in real life.

yaya is much more commanding in this game compared to 13.

Thankfully, i got a £40 trade in value voucher when i purchased it for my 360 so i'll use that when i buy it for the PS4.
