Fifa to clamp down on City and Chelsea business model

Can't say I disagree with it in principle but we'll have to see what the effects are. 8 sounds too drastic and in too short a timeframe though.

If this is to prevent top clubs from accumulating all the young talents, then I'm all for it.

Like most rules this will have an impact on the players it wasn't intended to target.

Clubs won't give up on the profit making loans, or highly rated players with a chance of breaking through but the likes of Tosin, Barker, maybe Nmecha etc will see out their contracts playing in the U23s rather than getting experience of senior football.

We could maybe sell some (with or without buybacks) but that's not always an easy thing to do with kids. Lower league clubs don't want to commit limited resources to unproven players.

City made a fortune from selling players they'd developed and who weren't good enough for our first team.
Stinks of the 'G' group of clubs with their Green eyed monsters having another complaint that City and Chelsea are doing something they wish they were doing.
It's not as if these players aren't earning money, and developing and helping the lower league clubs

C. F. G.

Sorted!

BTW, are there any other ways UEFA and FIFA can find to try to harm us?
About time we won the UCL and rammed the fucking trophy right up their arses!

UEFA always have the referees as back up. That Spanish prick who fell out with Pep, they just need to put him in charge of our next knock out game and know we aren't getting through. VAR will be interesting in the knock outs though

They are trying their best to make our top team less competitive. Spain Italy and German will be rubbing their hands.

We hardly play any academy players or loan returnees. The good ones (Sancho before and Diaz now) wants to leave as they don't find a path to the first team. The only impact is on the revenues we make in selling them. I'd rather the top young talents be distributed among the teams.

Add the referee in the Hoffenheim game also.
