When we had a Garry Cook half the supporters mocked him for trying too hard to be one of the boys and the voice of the terraces. Now we have Soriano and he's getting shit for being detached from the supporters.

Personally I'd rather a CEO be good at making sure the club is run well rather than paying lip service to the supporters because lets face it - you aren't going to please all of them all the time. Ever.

there is a happy medium surely? at the moment he seems unapproachable hopefully when all his plans are in action he will relax a little and make an effort to get in touch with us a bit more,just for the record i like what i am hearing for moving the club along,but not some of the stuff about bobby

he isnt here to pamper you or any body else he is here to do a job that in most case's means upsetting the apple cart giving it a damn good shake and then make the club one of the biggest and greatest clubs in world football.

I don't think it's as simple as that. It's still our club and we should be holding the employees of it accountable. So that means that although it's a huge job he's got a lot of things to consider, the supporters shouldn't be forgotten.

I don't have too much of a problem with what he's done in that regard, neither was I impressed by the fact that Garry Cook seemingly bought half the ST a beer or two in his time here.

The priority has got to be to build the club, but build it to what we want it to be. If he doesn't we have every right to criticise.

Great interview. We're lucky to have Ferran and Txiki. His comments about Pep do make you wonder why he didn't want to come straight to City. Maybe he didn't fancy going straight into another head to head against Mourinho.

To credit him with class for not doing something that he could not do anyway without severe financial ramifications seems very odd.

I agree. His role as CEO is to establish the vision, the strategy, the objectives and the plan to get us there, and to then keep us on track with executing the plan by ensuring that we have the right resources at the right time. Looks like he's doing pretty well so far.

It's still our club and we should be holding the employees of it accountable.

Unfortunately its not "our club", it never has been, we were just fortunate (or unfortunate in some cases) to pick it to support. The club has never, and will never, be supporter owned, and while we can say what we want about its employees, the only people/person that can hold its empolyees to account is the owner.
