The atmosphere was something else that day. I have some friends who were in the away section (and follow Liverpool home/away/Europe). They said it was the most hostile crowd they've ever witnessed.

Im glad that our atmosphere is dependant on the game. Love how when we are needed we rise up.

As said above the real madrid game last season was spine tingling

As regards to that liverpool game, i screamed that loud when leroy scored i sent myself dizzy. Had to sit down

One of the most impressive games in PL history. Both teams run 120km, it was incredible.

What made the performance and the win even more special was the fact that we played without KDB and with a makeshift defence (Danilo at RB and Laporte at LB).

Unreal that atmosphere that night. My lad was away on holiday with his cousin and said it ruined his holiday when he watched it and heard the crowd. I had a lucky escape really as the wife wanted to start going more often after using his ticket. He was soon sat safely back by my side ha ha.

Two other incredible things that night (1) John Stones’ goal line clearance (2) we won a big game with the altrincham rat in charge

That game summed up just how close that season was for me, that goal line clearance, literally about 1” from being a awarded a goal and the dippers winning the title.

One of my all-time favourite games and one that I've watched chunks of it back many times for the quality, physicality and atmosphere. At the time the 2 best teams in the world in an unrelenting gladatorial fight to the death. Brilliant.

This season they sit top of the league with 45 points from 20 games. 5 years ago before they played us that evening they had 54 points from 20 games - W17 D3 L0. After defeat that night they went another 44 games before losing again in the league including a "rolling" 38 game sequence of W36 D2 L0 and a CL win.

As much as I hate the tossers they were an incredible team. Just we were better :)
