Flexi Gold season ticket

The main thing that I’m not liking with my sons flexigold season ticket is that if I apply and receive ticket ie Brighton then you then cannot transfer it to someone else in your f&f if for some reason he can’t make it.
Wish I’d never gone flexi for him.
Tried for the Newcastle game and there was no way to do it

It's shit and what you are saying is why it should be all season ticket and individual tickets not FG

£150.

What is that for!?

Backdoor to increasing ALL (new) season ticket prices (given that's the only type of ST available now - or as stated, in future) by that much ...

Plus for so called flexibility - which now apparently means that if you can't make it anymore, no transfer to friends/family is available, but only return to club is the option.

Massive rip off but some like it oddly

Yup absolute rip-off ... and the least flexible 'seasonal product' (as they now call it) ... but some how they call it Flexi!

Can't get my head around why some like it ... only those who don't or never had a normal ST, so for them it's better than Cityzens membership and probably why like it ... but misguided that imho.

It’s not a case of liking it, but it allows me to attend all the games including against the rags and dippers, which as a matchday member the last few seasons was getting much harder.
The club made it harder for you. Just like they are making it harder to get away and home tickets. What they are doing isn't by accident. It's well thought out and ruthlessly implemented, regardless of how it impacts the fan base.

Yes of course it is, but that isn’t what I was saying.

Like, dislike or ambivalent, flexi-golds should result in thousands of extra junior season card holders, paying similar prices for match day tickets to young bin dippers. Regular posters are saluting LFC junior prices on another thread and fair play to them.

I can see why many Blues - particularly adults -would prefer a full season card too. There’s not a one size fits all.

Not splitting hairs.

You said it was getting harder for you to get tickets.

If the club hadn't made it harder for you to get tickets, you could have stayed as a match day member instead of having to become a Flexi-Gold season ticket holder and pay the additional £150 charge instead of the Match Day Member additional £35 charge.

City OS.

Match Day Member.

Be the *first* to access tickets for *all home matches*, across Premier League and Cup competitions.

On the plus side, at least you are guaranteed a ticket for every home match as long as you buy your ticket 3 weeks before the match and within the 3 day sale window.

I'm glad you are now able to attend all the matches without having to worry about getting a ticket or not.

I think we are in agreement.

Flexi Golds are a £150 season ticket price increase by stealth. They are far better than a Matchday membership if you are someone like me who has been trying for a few years to get a season ticket, but they are literally £150 worse than a normal season ticket.

To those with normal season tickets, how would you feel if the club increased your price by £150 next summer? There'd be uproar, unfortunately as so few people are affected by this (approximately 600 flexis were released to adult members last summer), very little has been made of it outside this thread, in comparison to the mass (and absolutely rightful) uproar about other ticket price increases.

And you don't even get ALL of the Season Ticket benefits ... biggest being not being able to transfer to Friends or Family ... so question to be asked of ST holders isn't just how would you feel if your ST price went up by £150 next season, but also if with that price increase you also lost the ability to transfer a ticket or list on exchange if you can't attend, but your only options then are either to let an empty seat go which you have paid for or return it to the club directly so they can do whatever with it ...

The club have got Flexi-Gold season ticket holders by their golden balls. No wonder the club are desperate to phase regular season tickets out.

Hypothetical.

If the club tried to downgrade season tickets to Flexi-Gold season tickets, I'd give my season ticket up.

There is absolutely no way I would pay an extra £150 just for the privilege of buying a match ticket.

They need to, at the very least, look at offering season tickets to children. I get the sense they don't want to offer to anybody but they are in grave danger of losing a generation of local children whose parents are season ticket holders and are having to fight tooth and nail just to get them to a game and sit with them.

I've spent £400 in the shop this season on my lad who is obsessed. I'm lucky that I know people and that I have been able to get him to away games with me but I'm getting charged through the nose to buy him a seat for certain games as and when they pop up, only to have him on my knee as he can't sit alone at 7. It really isn't good enough from the club

I think a decent compromise from the club would be to offer Golds to adults, and Flexi’s for kids, I realise this isn’t what everyone would want, but it’s a starting point for City matters &
co to negotiate, and might just encourage them to release more.
I have a flexi for the grandson and it’s incredible value (about £13-14 PG including member fee) buying the tickets is no bother & he hasn’t missed more than a couple, there’s ways of using the ticket if he doesn’t go. Fwiw I think the club will bin em off in the long run for their next big idea (which could be even worse)
Did these get announced before our new Ticket Tsar ? If not I’m assuming he/she will have their own ideas

Can't you just have it assigned to your phone and the person goes in with you?
