Your wrong the total cost of individual tickets over the season plus the £150 come to the same price as a standard season ticket in that area, flexi gold members are not paying £150 extra for their seats than a normal season ticket holder.Flexi Golds are a £150 season ticket price increase by stealth. They are far better than a Matchday membership if you are someone like me who has been trying for a few years to get a season ticket, but they are literally £150 worse than a normal season ticket.
To those with normal season tickets, how would you feel if the club increased your price by £150 next summer? There'd be uproar, unfortunately as so few people are affected by this (approximately 600 flexis were released to adult members last summer), very little has been made of it outside this thread, in comparison to the mass (and absolutely rightful) uproar about other ticket price increases.
Flexi gold members do not pay £150 more than normal season ticket holder, they pay the same over the course of the seasonThe club have got Flexi-Gold season ticket holders by their golden balls. No wonder the club are desperate to phase regular season tickets out.
Hypothetical.
If the club tried to downgrade season tickets to Flexi-Gold season tickets, I'd give my season ticket up.
There is absolutely no way I would pay an extra £150 just for the privilege of buying a match ticket.
Yes, they do.Your wrong the total cost of individual tickets over the season plus the £150 come to the same price as a standard season ticket in that area, flexi gold members are not paying £150 extra for their seats than a normal season ticket holder.
It's you thats wrong, they 100% do pay the extra £150 / £75, if they didn't nobody at all would have a gripe with them.Your wrong the total cost of individual tickets over the season plus the £150 come to the same price as a standard season ticket in that area, flexi gold members are not paying £150 extra for their seats than a normal season ticket holder.

I used to be a ST holder for a few years and did a fair share of away games but gave it up due to other commitments and moving away for a few years.Massive rip off but some like it oddly

The FG is the best option for me at the moment, do I like the fee? No I don't, but it avoids the twice a year carnage where tickets are released for all to buy in one go.
The club won't release STs for as long as they can squeeze every penny out of tourists and tout sites.
Under the FAQ’s section this answer suggests that you might be incorrect in your assertion.Your wrong the total cost of individual tickets over the season plus the £150 come to the same price as a standard season ticket in that area, flexi gold members are not paying £150 extra for their seats than a normal season ticket holder.
Well said. The sad fact is even if the club released new STs, the likelihood is they will cost more. The City matchgoing fanbase probably has more people on senior discounts than at any other point in its history. Those discounts are well earned but if you're a bean counter who is under pressure to up revenues a) because of PSR and b) because we want to catch up with our rivals whose revenues exceed ours, then you're going to claw back some money from somewhere. Then you've got the problem with no-shows. if you opt-in for a ticket three weeks before, and then can return anytime in the fortnight after, the chances of you sacking it off from the club's perspective because it's raining or whatever are minimal.I used to be a ST holder for a few years and did a fair share of away games but gave it up due to other commitments and moving away for a few years.

If only that was their rationale and they were actually thinking of supporters.I think they’re a pretty good idea for kids who are maybe too young for midweek games. Or even adults who live far away and regularly miss a few games every season. Or those who sometimes have to work.
It gives them the security of knowing they’ve got a ticket at a reasonable price for the matches they can make. And don’t have to faff about getting rid of it or leaving it empty for the other games.
You can argue about whether there should be a surcharge and if so, how much? But I think the principle is fine.
Of course, it should be in addition to and not instead of them offering a certain amount of regular STs each year as well.
Yet Guardiola will attack city fans for a poor atmosphere. He needs to start attacking the club and corporate dickheads in the ticketing department.Slowly but gently moving everyone away from having a season ticket to suit pay on the day tourists with a unique visitor every time so the club shop can get hammered.
Smacks of a fast buck making scheme.

Tim, with respect, he has complained about the fans’ role in generating atmosphere but, unless I’ve missed something, has never criticised the club in their role in this.Pep hasn’t attacked anyone. He just wants a better atmosphere. So does tens of thousands of us
