I don't imagine for a second that it's as good as Florida, however;

My lads have met Buzz Lightyear.
Me and the eldest lad have been on incredible rides.
I met Donald Duck.
We've laughed and had magical, golden moments, all five of us.
My daughter met the princesses.
I laughed, cried, had goosebumps and shivers.
I've had moments as good as anything City have given me.
I fucking love the place.

You know it was some French kid in a suit and not the real Donald Duck, don't you?

You're a fucking liar!

Brilliant, Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear and Wreck it Ralph all in one photo. ;-)

Book your flights, hire a motor and rent a villa with a pool.

Ralph has hair.

I'll take that as a compliment.

I would suggest-Find a Florida resident to let you use their identities for tickets to the parks , stay offsite, rent a car. We went in 2012 and stayed at the Hilton. It was through a sale site(hotwire or something) but it came out to about 30£ a night, the rental car was less than £10 a day. We did the character meals as well which I don't believe you even need a park ticket for and are the only part of the trip my daughter still talks about.

The "space coast" was worth a ride and there's tons of decent quiet beaches from there down to miami if that's your thing.

We've booked for this Christmas and new year
Fantastic at Christmas
Get a villa in Kissimmee rather than a hotel on international drive

This is a good shout, not about Kissimmee persay, but renting a villa -

I went in the summer of 2009 and I am still cooling down, it was so fucking humid. I had a really good time though.

For anyone who has been in winter time, what's it like holiday maker wise?

Going apprehensively in August with missus 8yr old lad and 6yr old girl.
Staying on int drive.Booked tickets for Disney and universal.
Any tips on travel or money saving deals would be great.

Winter is when Florida gets full of Americans. I'll leave it up to you to decide if that's a good or bad thing...

There is zero doubt that Disney knows how to entertain and staying in the park is the way to go for sure. When we did it was soooooo convenient, their transit system is top notch so you'll be able to get around without wasting a bunch of time.

The downside is that Disney is also great at taking as much money from you as possible. You should look into the meal plans to help curb costs.
