I'm not sure how La Liga think they won't just get laughed out of the room with that one. The past year or so have made it clear just how incompetent their leadership is.Should Uefa fail to act, we will do what we have said before: launch a complaint with European Union competition authorities.
They may not (publicly) as it will be yesterdays news in a few days, but behind the scenes I'm sure a few are being told to wind their necks in, and some others threatened with legal action if they don't shut the fuck up.Well it’s certainly blown up this story! Surely city will come out and defend ourselves in some way?

Of course they are but it doesn't mean that they don't get some help with paying the money from Abu Dhabi though. But that's nothing to do with UEFA and they have no jurisdiction over Etihad's financial affairs. Tough titty, as they say.See statement by Etihad. They say they are liable and responsible for the sponsorship in its entirety. That undermines the key part of the 'evidence'. Some might argue but at the very least it throws doubt on the claims.
This undermines the significance of Sheikh Mansour paying the sponsorship revenue. It's portrayed as a smoking gun but it's nothing of the kind. Etihad have entered into a contract with City and how they paid the £67.5m and through what channels is irrelevant. I suspect SM did indeed pay it but so what. It's still ultimately a contract with Etihad Airways. They've got their name on our shirts and on our stadium and City in return receive £67.5m. How the money gets here is unimportant. Now if the issue was is it a related party transaction, then yes it would now be an issue, however that is not the issue. The claim is that City are inflating our sponsorship fraudulently. For me that Etihad statement makes it clear that that is not the case. There is an an agreement in place and UEFA can if they like review it for market value to see if the deal is inflated, but we know already that it's comparable to similar agreements in football.Of course they are but it doesn't mean that they don't get some help with paying the money from Abu Dhabi though. They're not all falling in line you know. Gabrielle Marcotti, Martin Samuel. I've seen quite a few comments from several journalists on Twitter expressing doubt over FFP and pointing out that City were targeted by FFP and this should be seen in that context. Stuff we have been saying. It's annoying that the press can write any old shit, without anything concrete to back it up.
The knives are out, but they'll still turn up for their 5 star matchday experience.
Fucking boils MY piss.
FFP I feel is gone. This is the last mileage they are going to get out of it.
