Seems mighty convenient that just as the European Super league shit starts getting thrown about, hey presto! Here's a load of negative news about how uefa can't control and enforce it's own rules, and doesn't have the authority to run the European game!!

I feel this soap opera is more to damage uefa, and city are just the dagger being used to do the dirty dead.

UEFA have fuck all control over how Etihad spends its money, and I would expect them to warn anyone who intimates they have conducted business in some kind of shady or underhanded way that the law doesn’t deal well with people trying to besmirch a company that has never been proven to have done a damned thing wrong!

I’m not convinced City are/were as against FFP as some people think. I actually think we were prepared to comply with the regs but knew the initial monitoring period would be tricky. However, what changed was UEFA moving the goalposts right at the last minute, meaning a tricky situation became an impossible one. It fucked the club over and that’s why I reckon the threats to take legal action were made.
